I had some spotting around the time my period was due with my first pregnancy, and with this pregnancy almost every week during the first trimester. I would lay down almost immediately after I had some cramping, sometimes it was stronger than the normal cramping encountered during pregnancy (the uterus is expanding).
If you do have strong cramping with red, dark red, brown, dark brown spotting then please see someone immediately. I had pink or light brown spotting and talked with my midwife and OB, and both told me as long as I didn's have alot of cramping and darker spotting or bleeding then I should just take it easy. Now thankully, I'm 17 weeks and haven't had anything since 4 weeks.
My doctor told me the same thing any spotting regardless of how light without or with cramps go to the ER to be seen..
It could be fine but it could be an early miscarriage.
During my last pregnancy, I had 1 small light pink spot right after I got my BFP then at 10-11 weeks, I had a little bit of brown spotting around the size of a quarter.. I did not think much about it because it never turned into anything and i had an u/s coming up. I ended up having a blighted ovum ...
My doctor's office says that if you're having ANY spotting, to go to the ER right away and get checked out (if you're before 20 weeks). I would think that you're probably okay because you're not having cramps with the spotting. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 6 weeks and I had HORRIBLE cramping with bright red spotting (and went to the ER where I miscarried). We tried for another six years after that and finally got pregnant again via IVF. I had LIGHT brown spotting for three days during this pregnancy, but no cramping. And everything ended up being okay (now we're 26 weeks along). So you never know. Each pregnancy is different. But, like I said, if you're having it and it's worrying you, go right to the ER and get checked out. And GOOD LUCK!! Lots of love!
I personally would call the doc and make them see me.... and if not I would go to the ER where they can do an ultrasound to make sure everything is ok with your little one... I do know that spotting can occur in early pregnancy but the tissue is concerning me... Just to be on the safe side and ease your mind I would go in. Good Luck!
if you find you are really nervous you could call your doctor's office and ask the receptionist if it's possible to get in to your doctor earlier than scheduled. it might help put your mind at ease to speak with him/her.
i'm sorry to hear that you're having spotting. i'm no expert!, but from what i've heard it *can* be a common occurrence in early pregnancy. i have a colleague who says that she spotted throughout both of her pregnancies with her children. i would just try to take it easy and relax. sending positive energy your way.
