Its great that you've decided on staying clean, for yourself and for your baby. The baby probably won't test positive for cocaine at birth, however you need to be prepared for the effects the drug may have had on the baby. talk to your doctor about this issue. It can be very stressful going through recovery and having a difficult baby, its important to be as educated as possible. Keep up the good work and know that you are doing the best thing for your baby right now. =D
I'm glad u have gotten help, that is the main thing. Cocaine goes out of the system really fast, however your baby was probably already addicted so you need to make sure it's okay and hasn't withdrew in your womb, because it could be dangerous. I think they can pretty much tel if you've done drugs while pregs. I would be honest with your doctor and see what he says. If the doctor knows about your usage and you personally test negative and you stay clean you should be ok. Good luck.
That's right he is an incredible God!! And let me say I am proud of u for taking the initiative to stop for ur child!!
Your absolutely right, however i am in treatment now and clean, will b by then 3 mos. You still think? i know I'm horrible but God is a god of second chances.
Most likely there will be cocaine in the baby's system. You've used pretty far into the pregnancy. You need to be honest with your dr. they want to see you trying to stop and getting help. Not sure if cps will get involved. Honesty is your best way to go about this.
I am an addict, been clean for 1mo.i've been @this spiritual based awesome place yet,7 mos pregnant and afraid when i have my child, there will b traces of drug use?
I'm unclear how long it takes to be gone, however it is VITAL you speak to your doctor if you're doing drugs while pregnant. Cocaine is extremely dangerous in adults, let alone what it can do to a growing child. You also risk CPS getting involved and losing your child if you do not seek help, so please talk to your doctor. They're going to be able to give you the best answers.
