I am a habitual marijuana smoker i use it daily to treat and prevent bi polar episodes. With both my pregnancies i smoked until about 14 weeks slowly weening off so it wouldn't be tempted later in pregnancy. My daughter is 3 now with no health or mental issues. She is smart and also a very good eater, will try anything. I am 20 weeks and clean i havent used weed for weeks now and my baby is good and healthy so far. I am pro marijuana during pregnancy as long as its for treatment of  nausea, vomiting, physical pain, or mental illness control/ anxiety etc. i do not believe in prescription drugs for treatment during pregnancy. But thats just me. Good luck. :)

I dont see anything wrong with smoking weed while pregnant,  especially if you are not smoking it, like eating it threw brownies ect.. i think itll take pains away, it took my pains away for aches i had before i had gotten preg. I , however did smoke while pregnant when i didnt know and counted times throughout it did take tummy and back pains away. But i stopped because i do not wanna risk the fact of my son getting taken away. Plus marijuana dont comfort me like it used to so i see no use of using it even after im threw with pregnancy,

They do drug test you but they don't just take your baby if you test positive for pot. For heroin and Meth they might or they might offer you help depending on the situation

Oh and my older two have asthma and I didn't smoke ANYTHING with them and was NEVER around second hand smoke, my youngest does NOT have asthma and I smoked a bit with him (primarily oils though). My first two were also preemies yet my last was fullterm born 2 days before his EDD. Just saying :)

I have to say, I am indeed all for marijuana! However, I use it medicinally for fibromyalgia pain, panic attacks due to high anxiety, and insomnia. I was using multiple pharamsueticals for this years ago but have since gone down to just one drug, marijuana. Its much safer, absolutely no undesirable (to me) side effects. I do not smoke during the day while my kids are awake unless I feel an attack coming on which only happens a couple times a month, otherwise I only smoke after all 3 boys are on bed for the night. I did not smoke with my first two, I took all sorts of pharmaceuticals that I definitely questioned while pregnant. With my last I was already already using medicinal marijuana so I asked my midwife her thoughts. After doing much research and looking at different studies we concluded that it would be best if I continue to medicate while pregnant because without I could really stress the baby with my panic attacks, lack of sleep, or chronic pain. She advised that I give up the act of smoking the flower and simply use oils. I got an ecig that used nicotine oil and found someone to make me the THC oil to use in it. It was wonderful! Anyhow, point being I'm pro marijuana BUT only if you can use it responsibly. Also like the previous woman said, the act of smoking is always harmful during pregnancy, being at a bonfire too close to the smoke is just as harmful... THC itself is not harmful.

My mom smoked pot with both my brothers since she had leukemia (she finally beat it last year) and both my brothers were born with ADHD,asthma  and have a lot of anger problems. Idk if it's due to smoking weed but she didn't smoke with me and I have no health problems. My mom feels as though her smoking may be the cause of this also but their doctors always told my mom it wasn't. I wouldn't recommend it just because you never really know if it may or may not effect the baby.

Lol youre going to get ALOT of frisky responses on here.. therea no legitamate research that proves pot is harmful to ur baby. If you smoke it, yes the smoke is harmful but there are a million other things that are harmful to be around such as second hand smoke, eating lunchmeat, drinking coffee, changing litter boxes, being around mold, breathing in cleaning products and bleach while cleaning etc. With that being said, pot is illegal and therefore most moms or moms to be are going to be against it. If you do it you are taking a risk and not knowing what it could do. in my experience, every single mom i knew who smoked had healthy babies who grew up to be fine. my mom smoked cigs and pot with me and all my sisters and we are all graduates from college with basically no health problems. I have seen alot of conversations where people say babies get tested at birth and will be taken. by child protective services if drugs are in their system but i have yet to know anyone that it has happened to. I am not telling anyone its ok but if you are asking for an opinion, pot is not a big deal to me esp if ur not smoking it.
