2 BFP but 1 BFN today??!!

Hi all....My period is not due until around the 23rd of this month, but I've had suspicions that I may be prego, i.e.; cramping, bloating, nasal congestion, breasts very sore, pronounced Montgomery Glands, lower back pain, etc.  I took 2 Clearblue Easy tests on Sunday 3/16/08 and they both showed positive, very faint though.  I took a Dollar General test today and it showed negative??  I have one more left that I am going to take first thing in the morning, but I was wondering why would I get a negative after 2 positives?  We reallllllly want to be pregnant!!!  Please Help!!

I honestly don't know what to tell you about that. If you're concerned go to the doc & get blood work done. I hope your BFP is really what you have. Best of luck!!!!!

Wow, I'm amazed to hear you got a BFP 7 days before AF was due. Did you take an HCG shot this month? If you did, it may have still been in your system and now a few days later it's not. I think you should wait until the day AF is due and test again. That should produce a more accurate result. Good luck and Take care. : )

hi, wow you must be very confused and all over the place emotionally.  Maybe the clearblue tests are better and detect smaller amounts of hcg.  But i don't really know.  I would wait until af is due and then test.  If you can't wait that long get a blood test.

The dollar store tests are designed to pick up higher amounts of Hcg than the clearblue tests. You are probably pregnant, I had a problem with this same thing when I became pregnant after a miscarriage. I would reccomend trying the First Response Early Result tests. They are a little on the expensive side but are very acurate. Congratz and tonz of baby dust your way.

Which of the Dollar store tests did you use? I know the cheapo $1 test is very sensitive, it measures 25 mlu. But you may have gotten the one that only measures 50+. So I agree with Linzola1, it may have been the difference in sensitivity as well. Good luck. Wish you the best.

I disagree, the cheapo test didn't show for me. I took a test 1 week after my 2 pos. EPT's. It was VERY FAINT.
I'm now almost 15 weeks pregnant.

I would wait a day or so before testing if you can possibly wait.  Your hcg should be rising each day so hopefully you will get your BFP soon!!  Keep us updated.  Good luck.

If it was a faint BLUE line then it's positive, if the line wasn't coloured it could be an evaporation line. False positives are not possible because of the way the test works, only false interpretations. Also your third test might not have shown positive because your pee moved too fast up the test for the HCG to attach to the antibodies in the test.
