28 years old need help

Hello I am 28 yrs old and started my period when I was 12 since then I had pretty regular periods till I was 22 yrs old. Then for no reason I stopped having reg sometimes I would have once month then go 3 months then have one 2 days etc. Now since June 08 I have not had period of no kind and don't understnad why. I wont to have children in next couple yrs I don't get why not had period. I am overweight and diabetic but I am on medicine for that metformin 500mg day. Any ideal or tips Thanks for time and help.

Becoming irregular is usually the sign of a hormonal imbalance. It sounds like you MIGHT have PCOS. Have you been tested to see if you have it? It would require a blood test of your hormones, a sonogram of your ovaries and a glucose tolerance test (3 hour). PCOS can definitely affect your fertility, as it affected mine.

You need to set up an appointment with your doctor. It has been well over a year since your last period and that's not normal. Good luck and keep us posted!
