If you ovulate early can you have a early period? I had some kind of period on Feb. 9-12. Very light and color was brown whole time. Nothing like I usually get. 9-11 only lasted about a hour each day. On the 12 it was on and off all day only when I wiped. I know I ovulated somewhere between Jan. 30 -feb.4. I know when I ovulate because I get band pain on side I am ovulating on. My calendar said I should not have ovulated till feb.4-8 I think. Well my period was due. Feb. 16-20. Didn't get anything. So I am wondering if that was my period.

Yes.  The timing of your period comes from the timing of ovulation.  If you ovulate early, you will have your period early.  If you ovulate later, your period will be later.  You should have your period 14 to 16 days past ovulation.

Michele is spot on!

If you're bleeding dpo it is most likely implantation bleeding. If it is lighter and shorter than a normal period, I would assume that it is and take a pregnancy test in another week!
