Benadryl tabs

Hi! Am 34 weeks 3 days preg with twins.Since last week my stomach has been itching and has now become unbearable. Infact I think there are small hives breaking out on my stomach. My doc suggested I take 25mg of benadryl tabs and recommended upto 50 mg if I felt I needed it. Till date I have not taken any other medication thoughout my preg. Anyone takn it while preg or know if there might be an issue with taking them??

Everything I'm reading on it says it is CLASS B which means it is safe to take during pregnancy. Take the lowest dose he told you and see what happens in a couple days. If it doesn't get better, up the dose and hopefully that'll help!

I've taken benadryl throughout my pregnancy for allergies and colds, as I'm in a new climate, and it's hit me pretty hard, and my baby is great!! I'm 30 weeks, and haven't had any problems!! Listen to your doc, and hopefully it will help make you more comfortable!! Good luck
