Birth Control Question

Infection is common among women who use estrogen-containing birth control pills, I read...
Isen't there two types of birth control ... one uses estrogen, other uses both homones, and the other is another hormone or smething... ??? I am on Velivet which is the genric i believe... Anyone know anything on this subject?

The other option is a progestin-based birth control pill (sometimes calle the Mini-Pill), which does not contain any estrogen.

Not sure about the link between estrogen and infection, though...
