Breast size before during and after pregnancy

by Krysta872, Aug 14, 2008 02:25PM
I was wondering if anyone would give me their opinions on what I can expect my breast size to be after this pregnancy.  Kinda weird but its something thats been bothering me.  Im 28 years old and I have a 3 year old daughter.  Before I was pregnant with her I already had big breasts size 36DD.  While I was pregnant with her they shot up to a 38DDD.  I did breastfeed however it was only for a few months bc my breasts were so huge it was hard to keep from smothering her.  I did continue to pump for a few months after that.  When everything was said and done I stayed the same size.  3 years later and im still a 38DDD.  Im 5'8 140lbs and my breasts are already so obnoxiously big I feel like a porn star.  I dont care if they get bigger during pregnancy and while feeding but afterwords Im worried they will remain another cup size bigger which i dont even know what size that is.  Is there anything I can do to minimize the growth after the birth or to shrink them =) Im going to try and breastfeed again but if that doesnt work do I need to pump longer?  Any advice would be great!!

Some women have breasts that will shrink and others don't! I'm like you--- mine will stay the same size after birth. My only feeling is that you'd have to get breast reduction surgery. I don't know of any other way, other than exercise, to get them down.

I am not sure if this is helpful but i have a 10 year old and was a B before the pregnancy and moved up to a large C during and NEVER went back down..... I am now pregnant with my second (9 weeks) and have moved up to a D and kinda dont expect to go back down..... But I guess we will just have to wait and see.... I think it honestly differs from woman to woman depending on thier bodies.......Good Luck!

I'm with newbiemami08 lol...I haven't had a fullterm pregnancy so I can't give any experience but I'm a small b cup and I am sooo hoping I get larger and stay larger!  This is the part of pregnancy that I have looked forward to for years!

The statistic I read is the 1/3 of women increase a cup size, 1/3 of women stay the same and 1/3 of women lose a cup size.  For me, I LOST an entire cup size after breastfeeding!  :(  Figures!  LOL!

Ive researched a reduction but its expensive and I want to wait until Im done having children or else it would be pointless.

Newbiemami If I could give them to you I would in a second!!

Thanks for all of the info ladies.
