doesn't seem to go well for me. I could only BF my son (my first) for about 4 weeks before it seemed like i wasn't giving him enough or that i was drying up. (He was in the NICU
coming in? I would like to BF her as long as I can! I bought a breast pump (manual) to bring to the hospital so that i can start pumping to get it to come in a little quicker after she is born...but after it does come in, i want her solely to be on breastmilk.
Ask at your next OB appt if there is a lactation consultant in your area. google search it too I know there are herbal supplements to try like mothers milk tea and fennugreek. The more often you offer to BF the more milk your body will make. and remember to drink plenty of liquids.
Hello,
I took a breastfeeding class at the hospital where I delivered my son by the area La Leche League.I breastfed both of my son's for over 1 year.I always massaged my breasts beforehand (It helps the milk come in faster.) I also used my breast pump everyday to store an extra supply.I would swear by the massaging and breastpumping.I really stimulated my milk supply. The first 2-3 months is the hardest time. After about 3 months your breasts will produce more milk than before. The La Leche League is great!!
