Hi! Hope you can help. Long story short. We had a flea problem. Were told to sprinkle moth crystals/flakes on the carpet & then vacuum. Well, stupidly we did! Now we have this horrible smell
of mothballs throughout the house. I did call my Dr to see if it was ok to be breathing this in. He said as long as it's being ventilated it should be fine. However, I'm still not too sure about it. Everything I read online says it's bad! I don't know what to do. We don't even know how to get rid of the smell
on my leg as I write this!!) We have been fighting the little buggers for 4 weeks now and we are slowly winning, but I too was as concerned as you regarding all the chemicals i was around. After a lot of talking about it and advice I have been avoiding the place after it has been sprayed for a couple of hours and then gettin my dh to air the room out before I go in. With regards to the mothballs cant say ive ever heard of them being useful for fleas. If it has been more than a few hours my guess is you'll be fine but probably best to get dh to do the hoovering a few time just incase you inhale any dust that is disturbed. Keep your windows open for as long as you can bear it. As for the smell
make sure u thro that bag/empty vacuum b/c vacuuming stimulates the eggs to hatch. my vet told me this oh prob 2 years ago now when our 2 cats and dog had fleas and might i add FRONT LINE PLUS worked wonders
You shoulda got those raid bombs.
That's how we got rid of our fleas when I was 15 and our house was INFESTED with them!!!
Only had to go visit with my grams
