Brestfeeding in public

Does anyone know when it'll be illegal to tell a woman she can't breastfeed in public, will start?
I know most of you are from america but is there anyone from england who knows? I looked it up, but all it say's is that it'll be in effect by the end of the year. I know it's illegal to tell a woman to stop, in scotland. The only reason i ask is because i want to breastfeed, and i WONT be pressured not to do it in public, because it makes others uncomfortable.
I work in a resturant (normally) and it's amazing how many people complain about women breastfeeding. I even told one man who complained to me about another woman, what do you want me to do about it? And if he didn't like it he didn't have to look.
Im the most open minded person there is, but it's ok for men to walk around half naked when its hot (and most of them have bigger boob's than me, and thats saying somrthing), but a woman cant feed her baby?
This law should have been put into effect years ago.

I can't answer your question -but there are products that you can use to cover and still breast feed in public.  I'm nursing my son and have had to feed him in public just a few times.  I'm not excited about exposing myself - so I bought a nursing cover. I know I've seen "Hooter Hiders" advertised on this site. I have a product from Peanut Shell. If you do an internet search for 'peanut shell nursing cover' they'll come up - I just tried it.  Good luck.

I knwo in The States women do it openly, and I am pregnant w/ my first and plan on breastfeeding, but it honestly makes me very uncomfortable to see a naked breast.. Especially since they make a MILLION covers. I think it is natural, but I also think there should be some privacy and I totally understand people being uncomfortable when exposed to it, I know I am...

You should check out babies r us ******* (no spaces) They have some very cute covers so you can feed your baby anywhere and no one can see anything!
