Brown Discharge in 5th Week

I just started my fith week today I have had brown spotting since the day I was supposed to get my period.  Yesterday I started bleeding red and went to the doctor.  He did an ultrasound and said everything was in place a looked fine and I am right where I am supposed to be but I have to get blood work done today and Friday to make sure my HCG levels are going up.  The bleeding stopped now I am back to brown discharge.  Has anyone had anyything like this?

some people still bleed during the begining of their pregnancy, maybe you are one of them and still adjusting.  I wouldnt worry to much if the doctor said everything was ok, try to get some rest and relax until you get the results.  It sounds like you will be fine. Good luck!

I found out I was pregnant last Monday and started to spot on Thursday. It was brown and thick. I was scared too. I went to the doctor and had my hcg levels checked and they went from 10,000 to 14,000 overnight. I have noticed that a lot of women have spotting.

when I was pregnant i had alot of problems with spotting and My Dr said brown blood is ol blood. So he told me not to worry about and everything turned out fine....

Thank you so much for all your help.  I feel much better.  I am going to relax until I get the results.  The only good thing I have is that doctor said he sees nothing wrong.  Thanks ladies :)

I just hit my 5 weeks today and noticed a brown discharge in my underwear.  All the books I've read and webposts I've browsed say this is completely normal.  Man is it scary though.  Good luck, and I hope all goes well.

i have had brown discharge and brown blood for 4 days on and off and went to docs and found out that i am 5 weeks preganant. I had an obstetric ultra sound and everything seems normal the sac is in the correct spot and there seems to be no blood clots. I was going to have my hcg levels checked to see if they are rising but opted to risk it and just get an ultrasound at 7 week  mark to check. My discharge has seemed to stop but it looked like old blood. ive been resting and hoping that things are going to be ok. But doc said that this can be normal so should be nothing to worry about.

I went to the doctor yesterday and found out I was 5 weeks. I have been having a brown discharge for three days. Doc put me on bed rest until I can have another ultrasound next Wednesday. My progestrine levels are low so they are worried. The discharge isn't bad and it is only sometime. My hcg was normal levels for 5 to 6 weeks...what do you guys think?
