Brown discharge, skipped 2 periods

This is the first time I have posted, and I'm very nervous. I skipped my period last month (I had some cramping, but no blood) I took 2 hpt's and both were negative. I went to the doctor last week, that urine test was also negative. I am currently waiting on the results of a blood test. Last week another period was due. I had some cramping again and a brown discharge when I wiped (sorry if TMI) from Thursday until this morning. Over the weekend I was incredibly tired (I slept for most of Saturday) and just felt icky. I think I'll get a phone call from my doctor today, but I just want to know if I should have any hope of being pregnant. This would be my first, and I would love it if I was. :) Also, a few months ago, I think I had what is called a hysterical pregnancy because I wanted it SO badly. My period was a week late then, but it did come. I have tried to put it out of my mind since then, and I've had no other symptoms other than being more hungry and being very tired. As I said, I think I just want to know if I have any hope!
