Brown discharge...pregnant?

I had unprotected sex with my new boyfriend on April 20th, which happened to be day 11 of my cycle.  12 Days later, I started having dark brown vaginal discharge.  It's been a week now.  I was thinking that it just might be my period that was early, since I'm supposed to start it today.  Can anyone help me out with this?  Am I preggers (and having implantation discharge) or am I just having an early period?  I'm quite worried, because our relationship is new, and this is not how I imagined it starting out.

it is normal for a lot of women to experience brown blood/discharge before a period.  I would wait until AF is at least a week late before testing with an HPT, if i was you i'd make sure you BOTH use protection

Hi. You wouldn't be having implantation discharge so soon.  Implantation usually occurs 7-10 days after ovulation.  It could be that you are having some spotting during ovulation because that is a lot more likely than implantation.  You should use protection until you guys are ready to consider starting a family.  You can take a pregnancy test and get an accurate result 14 days after ovulation.  If you don't know when you ovulated, take the test the day after your missed period.

Oh, sorry.  I thought you said you had the discharge on day 12 of your cycle lol.  Well, since the discharge was 12 days later, it could be implantation bleeding or it could just be spotting before your cycle.  There's no way to know for sure until either your period starts or you get a positive HPT.

I got my period yesterday, like I was supposed to.  I'm still a bit worried about the discharged I had the week before, since it's the first time that it ever happened (and lasted such a long time).  I hear that some women still get their period if they're pregnant, could this be happening to me?

If you have had your period you won't be pregnant, if i had to go with the brown discharge before AF i would have been pregnant every month for the last 2 and a half years and have never conceived yet.
