COULD I BE PREGNANT??????

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME . I HAD A D&C ON JUNE 5TH . AT THAT POINT I WAS THOUGHT TO BE 11 WEEKS PREGGO BUT NO BABY AND THE SAC MEASURED AT ABOUT 6 WEEKS 4 DAYS SO I HAD THE D&C . WENT TO MY DR 2 WEEKS LATER FOR A VAGINAL EXAM THINGS LOOK GOOD . NO BLEEDING NO PROBLEMS. HCG LEVELS WERE NEVER TESTED. SHE TOLD ME I SHOULD GET A PERIOD BETWEEN 3 TO 6 WEEKS AFTER THE D&C. WELL IT HAS BEEN 6 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS SINCE THE D&C AND NO PERIOD. WELL I WAS NOT FEELING WELL THESE LAST 3 DAYS SO I TOOK A PREGNANY TEST AND IT SAID POSITIVE. I COULDNT BELIEVE IT SO I TOOK 4 MORE (ONE MORE THAT DAY THAN ONE THE NEXT DAY AND ONE MORE DAY) AND THEY ALL SAY POSITIVE. SO DOES THAT MEAN I AM PREGNAT AGAIN OR COULD IT BE LEFT OVER HORMONES FROM THE D&C?????? AND WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF HAVING A HEALTHY PREGNANY AFTER A D&C .. RIGHT NOW I HAVE 6 HEALTYHY BABIES. THAT WAS MY FIRST AND ONLY MISCARRAGE (miscarriage) (MISSED OB) . AND REPORTS AFTER D&c CAME BACK NORMAL DR SED. SO IM JUST WORRIED SOME ONE HELP ME ??????

Hi it could be a new pregnancy,or possibly left over hormones,since your doctor didnt check your levels,i would suggest going back to your doctors gain,maybe they will scan you,all the best..

I agree, the only way to know for sure will be to get a u/s. As much as I hope its a new pregnancy, it is not uncommon that something may have gotten left behind during the d&c

I tested positive for months after my D&C.  Have your  HCG levels tested, and then have them re-tested in a couple of days to see if they are raising or dropping.

It took me six weeks to get my period back after a d&c, my pregnancy was 11 weeks or so I thought but the sac only measured 6.5 weeks so there is a good possibility that it is a new pregnancy or like some of the other posts said that something may have been left behind. I would get a sonogram to see what is going on as well as a quant. HcG

I had a d&c june 17th, dr said i shud get period 4-8 weeks.  I took hpt june 27th it was positive, i took it july 3rd it was negative, i went to my primary care physcian to have my hcg levels taken july 9th and they were 29, i went for redraw the 18th, dont get results until monday, im hoping they are at zero.  

I would go have your hcg levels drawn, i wish i had gotten my levels drawn couple of days after d&c just to give me an idea of how fast my levels were dropping.

Here's my experience....I had a D&C in Dec. (missed M/C as well).......My office does not check Hcg levels unless there are problems.  I used an HPT 3 weeks after, and it was Neg., so my hormones had at least gone back down to below 5.  I'm sure that everyone's body reacts differently, but maybe you should have bloodwork done just to see.......

well i had not heard anything from mondays hcg levels so i called dr office this morning to see what was going on i was to nervous and sick of watin, so the nurse called me back with mondays results. and i had them done again today and they wouldnt have those to later this afternoon but by tomarrow morning. OK EVERYONE SO THEY TOLD ME THAT MY HCG LEVELS WERE 17,280 AND THAT BY THOSE RESULTS I WOULD BE 4-5 WEEKS PREGNANT. SO I WILL FIND OUT TOMARROW RESULTS WHEN I GO TO DR TOMARROW AND TOMARROW IS WHEN I HAVE MY U/S TO.. SO I GOT MY FINGERS CROSSED ... SO SHOULD I RELAX NOW OR SHOULD I STILL BE WORRIED???

i'd *think* those levels are high after 6 weeks PMC.....but then again i'm not a dr, maybe someone else will have a better answer(they always do hehe).....

but idk, you could very well have a new bun in your oven!

welll he had the u/s today. and so far we have GREAT NEWS. WE ARE 6 WEEKS AND 1 DAY PREGNANT.  WE SAW THE FETAL POLE WITH THE HEART BEAT SO I GUESS TAHT IS A GOOD SIGN. AND WEDNESDAY HCG WENT UP AND THEY WERE AT 22, 589 . ... SO I GUESS I CAN RELAX A LIL NOW... I WAS SED TO BE 6 WEEKS AND 5 DAYS WHEN I LOST THE LAST ONE BUT AT NO TIMES DID WE SEE A HEART BEAT BUT THIS TIME IT WAS GOOD AND STRONG. THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!
