I am kinda thinking the same about AF just wait it another another week or two... I have been wondering the same thing, when to ask for clomid? I have been off BC for 5 months, and ttc (REALLY) trying for this month just gone... so its probably too early ? Any ladies have any ideas when is a good time?

I suppose its diff - Amanda you if your body was like clockwork before, give it a few more months trying to sort itself out.... the bc is a B***** to come off, and this is exactly why. feeling your pain darling... your not alone!

SO I havent had an abundance either, just creamy past few days - milky almost... not alot just once or so a day I will feel wet, then no AF. but again my cycles are very irreg CD33 today and BFN... so its not looking promising....

It could take a while for your body to start ovulating again. You had the same type, but different brand of birth control as I did. It's a combination pill, which a lot are. It prevents  ovulation, so you don't get pregnant, it also makes the lining of your uterus thicker, making it more difficult for an egg to implant, and it thickens your cervical mucous making it difficult for the sperm to swim up into your uterus to reach the egg. I looked up ortho tricyclen, just to make sure it was exactly the same as the b/c I was on, and it is. I've always been irregular even before birth control. You should start charting your BBT. It's really easy, and the chart they have on here has a spot for your temps. Just take your temp using a digital thermometer every morning at the same time, before you do anything, even sitting up. Put your thermometer where you can reach it without moving much...then chart it every month, it'll take a while to get your average temperature, and when it goes up .4-.6 degrees and stays up three days in a row you ovulated. The day before your temp goes up is the day you ovulated. I charted last month to make sure I'm ovulating. I also had my pap smear two months ago and talked to my doctor about my birth control, being a combo pill, and trying to get pregnant. He said since six months had gone by that I should be back to normal. Some women get pregnant the first month, some take longer. Just keep in mind you only have a 20-25% chance each month, and it can take up to a year for a young (20's) healthy couple. Your time will come! SSBD!!!

Update on me...broke down and tested today. I bought two more packs of FRER with two tests in each the other day so using the one I had didn't bother me too much...BFN. CD27...only 11 more days before I break my longest cycle record...hoping I just tested too early, been having cramps the last week which isn't normal for AF, usually just the day before and the first two days. So we'll see...starting to think the extra moodiness is just because I quit smoking (YAY) almost three weeks ago.

Hey ladies, well I am supposed to start Thursday and tonight CD 37 I noticed some pink creamy CM. So I know that AF will probably be here right on schedule. But I am totally okay with that since I am not charting or even trying anymore if it happens it happens. Lol. I was just kinda dumbfounded when I saw that pink discharge(it has only happened twice tonight and only when I wipe) because it has never happened prior to my cycle. But I am almost positive thats what it is.  
Amanda- girl just relax, birth control can really mess up your system, I had the mirena IUD and had it removed 7/9/09 and it took me a while to get back to normal and heck I am still not, I used to have 28-30 day cycles and now it is 37. plus it may be too early to tell on a test.  good luck on all this, I hope you get the answers you want

well i think i'm out, i'm due friday but have already had light pink/brown discharge which is not unusual before i get my AF, trying OPK's for the next 2 months and then deffo giving up thinking about getting pregnant after 2 years and nothing happening has taken its toll and i can't deal with teh emotional strain.  I've got a lot to keep me occupied in 2010 so will stop tracking ovulation and everything to see how it goes.

I haven't counted CD and don't know where I am really. I am going to try to just not think about it at all this month and see what happens.  Last month of trying before the new year.  I know that I will be seeing AF on Christmas Eve if I am 28DC this month. It would be a great christmas gift if I was to get pregnant.

Good morning Ladies!!! I feel your frustration. I was on birth control for 10 yrs. I was off of it for a year before TTC. It can be very frustrating. But i really am a fan of temping and the opk's. If you can't temp because of a bad schedule. I really think you should try opk's. I ordered them online really cheap, and i really think that was the key in becoming pregnant...

I am 12 DPO today (CD 30) I normally have a 28-29 day cycle. I ovulated late in November on CD 20. Does that mean that I should expect AF to be late?

I am not considering myself officially late yet because 3 months ago, AF came on CD 33. However, that was the one and only time I have ever had more than a 30 day cycle.

I took my temp today and it is still very high (98F) my baseline is 97F.

If AF is coming when would I experience a temp drop? If you ovulate late, does that mean you will have a longer cycle?

I am going to try and wait a few more days to test but it's driving me crazy!

TEST!!! If your temp stays up more than 18 days you're supposed to be pregnant. Your temp starts to drop right before AF so you could be pregnant.

Well if you didn't ovulate till CD20 do you mean you got a positive opk on cd 20? that would make you only 10dpo? Can you clarify?

Also you only need your luteal phase to be alleast 10 days. That would make today day 10. I would give it to more days.

sorry hun. I'm not sure I'm ever going to take bcp again until I'm done having kids because it almost makes you feel guilty for preventing when you are ttc unsuccessfully, but don't worry it will happen before you know it. I don't think they give anyone clomoid without fertility problems but I'm not sure. There are some natural homeopathic supplements you can take to increase fertility for males and females maybe look into that... The waiting game is so frustrating. I had LAM for a while after having DH because I was breastfeeding and kept swearing I was PG when because I never got AF.

Had a doc's appointment monday I'm going to announce the news to the world soon after this week because I'll be out of the first trimester! I do have a new pic up of my belly at 12 weeks. I don't get another u/s for 8 weeks!!!

Ok, i understand now. Ok that would make you 11dpo today not 12. IF you were to pop in on your chart the 18th as a positive opk, it would count cd 20 as 1dpo. I tested on 10dpo and got a negative. I tested again on 12dpo and got a positive and I am pregnant. YOur temp looks wonderful!!! I say test tomorrow morning with FMU!!! I'm sending you tons of baby dust!!! Got everything crossed for you.

I'm 10dpo....tested this am with FMU. Got a shadow right away so I don't think it's anything like an evap but it wasn't a clear line. It was a FRER test. I could hold it to the light and see it better. I'm going to test again Friday. Wish me luck!

To Amanda: I didn't read your previous post but it sounds like you're having troubles regulating after coming off the pill. It took me a full year for my cycle to become regular so just have patience. It'll happen soon! :) It can be frustrating...especially when it's super long!!

Ok thank you so much. Sorry, I was counting the day I ovulated which was November 20th as Day 1 of ovulation instead of the 21st!

This may be TMI: We BD'd on 7 DPO and I had an intense burning sensation when urinating afterward, I thought for sure I had a UTI but it hasn't been like that since that night. Very strange, has anyone experienced anything like that as a PG symptom?

Other than the night of 7 DPO I haven't had any symptoms whatsoever!

AmyG89---  It just might have been from BD'ing and nothing else.  I know TMI but was it vigorous bd'ing or what?  You could've just irritated your lady parts or been dry down there so when your urine ran over it, it burned.

Let the ten day countdown begin...CD 28 BFN. No longer calling this my TWW I'm starting my AFW (Aunt Flo Wait). I really think I'm out ladies...no sign of the evil witch yet, but just not feeling it. The BFN isn't helping my attitude this month, but still. Not gonna test again until CD 39. I REFUSE!!! Don't let me! There's no point really, if I ovulated the day (or around the day) I thought I did then AF should be here within the next 4 days, including today.

Anyone who's been off b/c for a while, and TTC having weird cycles? Last cycle I had O cramping, and sore BBs after O. This month, I had a little cramping this cycle, and have since the day I think I O'd. Not sure what's going on, but hoping I'm not making myself "have symptoms". I'm trying not to think about it...sorry I'm turning this into a vent kinda...I'm just getting irritated with the irregularity, and this is frustrating.

smj- i have been of b/c for over 4 months and i am still trying to figure things out lol. i have 37 day cycles now. i should have af tomorrow, but we will see. the only thing weird this month is last night i had two times or pink CM when I wiped...I am not sure if that is just her making her way or what? what do you think? but I am like you I am refusing to test!

I am with you! AFW 5 months off bc, and its messy as anything (one 21 day cycle) one 45 day cycle, not on CD34 nothing coming I dont think... ttc coming off bc I think will be more difficult then we ever imagined! I got a positive opk on cd7 or 8 i think just after AF, but think it was false I dont have ewcm and i have pcos, my bbs constantly ache/hurt to touch so kinda in your boat - kinda with one leg in the pcos water... HAHA

5n1 & Aimz86~~~I agree, I agree. I've been off b/c for almost 9 months but only been TTC for 2/3 months. Technically 3 months, but our decision to TTC the first month came, I believe, after I had already O'd, and we said we were going to wait until Nov, but started at the end of Sept. It's really frustrating me cause it's been so long since I got off b/c, and I'm getting all these new things each cycle. I've gone from 29-38 day cycles so far. I've been on a trend of a long cycle, then short, then back to long, last month should have been long but it was shorter than any other, and now I don't know what's gonna happen this month.

I think I'm out as well. I had brown/ pink discharge when wiping and its constant. I am very frustrated as well. In January it will be 1 year since I came of BC and I used to have a perfectly regular cycle. Now I'm ranging from 28-33 days. I think I will try OPK for January.

Trice37 unlike hpt where you take it in the morning an opk should be done in the afternoon around the same time everyday. FMU is not recommended for OPK's. IT should say it in the directions!! Good luck girl!!!

first of all I just want to tell everyone thank you for all your blessings... and Faith you are right I was not trying or even thinking about it with my surgery and all...

The only thing I noticed was Tuesday and last night I had pink spotting(CM) so I knew AF was gonna come today, so I got up this morning and thought heck I have one test left I was gonna take it for fun, and low and behold before I could even stand it was bright positive, and I just took another one and it was also positive..... The only thing I had was my stomach was real sore and bloated like before my period, but if I tried to suck in it hurts like I dont know what, and also I have a stinkin cold. but other than that I actually did not have any PMS symptoms....
