thanks Ashelen for ur answer, well i am student and somebody told me that i can not sit for 2 weeks and i have to just lay in bed for that time. i can not miss school for 2 weeks and just stay in bed. since she told me that i can not stop crying :(
Oh gosh with a normal, uncomplicated delivery, you should be up and moving shortly after the baby is born....and you WILL need at least a few days (in my experience) to rest and get your strength, but you won't be down for 2 weeks unless anything major crops up, which it usually doesn't.
i had third degree tearing with my son an episiotomy they used the vacum and forceps and i was siting as soon as they sewed me up yes its not very comfortable especially if u have stitches but very possible i wouldnt suggest shifting while sitting lol but sitting in one spot didnt hurt to bad at all :)
I was sitting almost immediately, and was walking to the cafeteria two hours later. I had to adjust myself when I sat, but it wasn't anything terrible. The important part is to move and walk when you can.
i am guessing it wasnt the doctor who told you this...lol...have you ever seen a woman NOT setting after having a baby? how would you try to feed it if you couldnt set? lol
ANYWAYS. YES you can sit. I had a 5th degree tear (the worst possible) and i was sitting right after they stitched me up...
