. I had surgery in 7th grade to repair a hernia (above my belly button and slightly to the right) with mesh, In the same surgery, they also had to reconnect my stomach mucles, by cutting through, overlapping, and stiching them back together.
The picture is what my stomach looks like due to the surgery. And yes, people have told me that i look pregnant :(
Do you think either of these could cuase problems when I get pregnant?
I would ask my doctor, but he's a quack and a half...
I honestly do not. I would wonder if the repair to your stomach muscles would cause problems as your body starts to stretch out? If your Dr. is that odd find another one!
I don't know if I can change my doctor due to multiple reasons...
I really hope it woudln't affect it, but I don't know if any of these doctors would know, I don't think what i had done is really a normal procedure.
And the doctors that did the surgery are in another state and I don't know if we could ask them or not...
Call and ask the doctor's who did the surgery. They can answer this question for you. It's unlikely that it'll cause problems, other than maybe more discomfort as your abdomen stretches during pregnancy. Other than that, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
