Car seat

Hey ladies. I have a question about the carseat I got. I got an eddie bauer stroller/ carseat combo and the car seat straps were pre-set on the smallet size (the bottom opening). When I bring baby home from hospital would he be on that setting or would I have to change it? I dont want to have to try to figure it all out at the hospital.... Thanks.

I have the same question and also registered for an Eddie Bauer combo. I do know that your local sheriff's office will give you a free carseat "crash course", so to speak. You should call and ask about it; I definitely plan to do that as soon as we get the carseat, well before the chaos at the hospital on the big day!

No way to tell until the baby is sitting in it, trust me! lol It should fit snuggly, so you will have to mess around with it a bit either way since all newborns are different sizes.

I know it looks incredibly low, but YES that is the setting you need for a newborn. They are TINY! I was also skeptical when I saw that the straps were in the lowest level but my eldest daughter was swimming in her seat.

Unless you have an incredibly LARGE baby you will need to leave them on the lowest setting.  If your carseat did not come with or you have not invested in one of those head support pillow things for the carseat I HIGHLY recommend one so your lil ones head isn't bobbling around in there.

I had an Eddie Bauer for my son and he started on the lowest setting. It looks tiny, but they really are too.
