It has been very difficult to find information about what a healthy cervical length is during pregnancy. My doctor said anything above 2.5 cm is okay. Mine measured 2.7 cm at my ultrasound last Friday. I was 17 weeks. I am concerned that this may be too short as I have read on several sites it needs to be atleast 3 cm. I'm on Medicaid and am worried that my doctor is just telling me that EVERYTHING I'm worried about is fine to get me out of there. I'm sure I'm just being paranoidParanoid personality disorder Paranoid schizophrenia Schizophrenia - paranoid type as usual, but this is my littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys girl and I can't lose her. Anyone know anything about cervical length in pregnancy? Thank you.
Well, actually your doctor would make more money for treatments and things so I don't see why he'd just turn you away if you had a serious issue. I have no idea what the cervical length is supposed to be. I was just told mine was "long and closed".
I'm sure as long as you don't start to efface and dilate you're fine. I don't know about the cervical length either, but I never had it mentioned to me at all when I was pregnant, until I was 33 weeks and started to efface.
