Cervix confusion

Cervix confusion

Hello, Im 25 and a mom of 2 children. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant so I've started checking my cervical changes. Just before expected ovulation my cervix began to move up to the point were i could barely reach to check. And everything that i have read says almost immediatly after ovulation your cervix is suposed to become closer and firm. Mine hasnt it is still almost impossible to reach! Does this mean i've concieved. My next period is due th 28th so i can take a test in a few day! But im just courious if anyone is familuar with checkiing there cervix. Thanks

I used to check cervical position, but stopped because it was too unreliable. Do you check your cervix at the same time everyday? Because it changes frequently during the day, if you're not it, it could be why it is high up when you check.

Yeah, CP is really difficult to use. Mine didn't follow typical schedules. With one of my cycles I was freaking out because my cervix was sooo high and soft, and I was due for my cycle the next day. I got my period like I was supposed to, and that's when I quit checking because it made me worry constantly.

How long have you been TTC? Do you use OPK's or chart your BBT?

Yeah, some women don't notice or have various types of discharge that others do when ovulating or fertile. You've only been trying for a few months, so don't get discouraged yet. It can take an average of 1-2 years to naturally conceive, and even if you've previously been pregnant it doesn't mean it will happen faster later on.

If you have regular cycles, count back 14 days from when your next is due to start - around that time frame is when you will ovulate. You're fertile the week leading up to ovulate, so have sex every other day leading up to it, and then for 2 days after. Some will suggest other things, such as lying with your lower back elevated, different positions, etc etc but none of these actually make your odds higher.
