Clomid Metformin???? HELP

I want to start off by saying I have missed you all! I got internet back and had to come by first to say hi!
I have a question about Clomid! As some may remember back in January 2010 I began taking Clomid and took it for two cycles one at 50mg and one at 100 and had no folicles! I decided to stop taking it and to wait. I decided a few weeks ago to start taking it agian and I began at 50mg and when there wasnt any folicles he pushed me to 100mg and told me to come back a week later... No folicles again... Now I am on 150mg and go tomorrow to see if I ovulated. I am getting concerned that I am not producing any eggs and that my friend was on 50mg and just found out she is pregnant! Is this normal?
I asked my doctor and he said with me being 21 this isnt normal espically because I gave birth to my son in 2008. I am a smoker but am trying to quit!
If the medicine didnt work this time ( I will fond out tomorrow) then he wants to put me on Clomid and Metformin... Has anyone done those two together and had a good out come when they took the clomid and didnt have any luck! I am just really getting scared! Any advice helps!

Metformin is commonly prescribed to women with PCOS and is supposed to control insulin levels, which, in turn, may help balance LH and FSH hormones and also your response to meds. I've been on Metformin for over a year now, ever since I've been diagnosed with PCOS. I also started my infertility treatment regime with Clomid but it did not work for me at all. I was on 150 mg per day and did not ovulate at all. My dr. decided not to waste time with Clomid and put me on a combo of Clomid and injectibles after that and then on injectibles only. I know everybody responds differently to different drugs. I wasn't a good responder to Clomid, but was a GREAT responder to injectibles, and that's what finally got me pregnant! Best wishes :)

I used Clomid and Metformin without doing Clomid alone first. I got pregnant on the first round and delivered my baby girl in April. Do you have PCOS? That's why I was put on Metformin and it worked well with the Clomid for me. Good luck and baby dust to you!

I was on Clomid when TTC #3 and it didnt work for me. Took almost 2 years ttc Dalton. I thought it was crazy because I was young and had 2 other kids but then when we stopped trying it happened. But nope clomid didnt work for me.

The doctor told me that I dont have any of the tell tail signs of PCOD but dosnt understand why I am not ovulating! IDK I go tomorrow for my ultrasound so fingers crossed that I ovulated, but I think I may be because I have sticky discharge today which I havent had in a while...

Everytime I go get an ultrasound though he tells me that I am not ovulating "good" eggs!!!! Grrr

im on my first dose of clomid would it work ? i hope anyone with luck im on day 9 i need to go on day 22 n get blood work
