What is the success rate of Clomid 2nd cycle and HCG shot ?

It is the trigger shot they give to release and time your follicles for intercouse... That way you know exactly when you ovulate.

Oh, I'm not ovulating at all.  Thanks for explaining that for me though.

I did not ovulate either - that is why I did the clomid and hcg shot - the clomid helped develop folicles and they measured them frequently - once the reached the right size I received the hcg (trigger) shot to trigger ovulation so I would know when I ovulated to try to concieve (conceive)....Are you seeing a reproductive specialist?

This month was my 2nd round of clomid. I started my first dose at 50mg and was on 100mg of metformin but I didn't ovulate. The second month I took 100mg of clomid with the metformin and I got a positive HPT on 7dpo. I am now 4weeks and 5days. Good luck everyone, I def think that clomid works!

Congrats sms85! I hope and pray to get the same results. Is it just me or did clomid throw you in a whirl wind? I am in my first month of clomid and after I ovulated my breasts were very sore and tender, I am exteremely emotional and have a lot of cramping. I take a pg test on day 21 of my cycle (5/21/10). I am really praying that this will be it. My sister had her second baby on clomid and all it took was one month of it also.

I'm on my first month of clomid.  I do ovulate. But this is to help permote it more I guess. I just got ovulation kit.and just topology my last pill today

I am not seeing a reproductive specialist yet.  My OB-GYN just wants to see if she can do something for me first.
