Clomid Users - Has it worked for you?

Hi Ladies, - I just went to  my doctor yesterday - and he gave me Clomid 50mg - to start using this month - on cycle day 5-9. My question is - has this worked for any of you? Did it work the first time around getting pregnant?   And How do I know when I ovulate with Clomid on what day? This is just all new to me. Should I still be taking OPK tests to see when I do ovulate??? Any advice or stories would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hey Jesslynn... Clomid is a very good start!! I got PG on the first round of clomid. But it didnt stick.(for a diff reason). I have heard so many success stories myself! I am on my last round of clomid and the then we go meet a RE.

I got pregnant on the first round of 50 mg clomid and now have a 6 yr old little girl. To get pregnant with my current pregnancy it took a lot more though,clomid for a year and then clomid with metformin and hcg injections for another 6 months. So, I guess you never know. I wish you luck!

I got my BFP on my second round of 50mg Clomid. I took it on day 3-7 and also continued to use OPK to figure out when I ovulated. We are now 15 weeks along with twins. Wishing you the best of luck!!

I got pregnant on my first round of clomid at 50mg cd 5-9. I'm now 22w with a little girl! The OPK's didn't work for me at all, so I charted my bbt and cervical mucous. I read where you were supposed to ovulate by 10 days after the last pill. I however, ovulated on cd21!

I did clomid cd 3-7 and OPK till ovulation and baby danced every 48 hours. I am now 13 weeks pregnant!  It took other help clomid, ovadriel (to make the eggs release) and then IUI because of
pcos. Good luck!!

I got pregnant on the first round with 50 mg Clomid!  Finish taking the last pill and have sex every other day from day 11 to day 21 if you can just to be sure.  That is what we did and it worked first time!  FYI:  The doctor said to have sex through day 17 and we did it through 21 just to be sure.  I later found out from the ultrasound and EDD that she was probably conceived toward the end of it (day 19 or 21) so we might have missed out if we hadn't added those etra days!!  Good luck!

thanks jesslynn for asking this.  I am seeing my gyn next week and if we didn't have success naturally this cycle we will most likely start clomid next cycle.  I'm very nervous and excited at the same time.
