Clomid question - waiting to start 1st cycle...

My periods are very irregular. I am due to start my first round of Clomid this next cycle on days 3-7. I started spotting last night and then having something that seems in between spotting and a normal period all day today. Is this my first day of the cycle or is this still considered "spotting" in a dr's terms? Not sure if I start my Clomid in 2 days or not. I don't want to mess up! Any suggestions? Since it's the weekend now I don't want to try to call the doctor if it's not a big deal. (My last period start date was 3 weeks ago.)

of course its a big deal,you should ring the doctor,even if its just for advice.i personally wouldnt say it your period,but then again if your period are iregular,its hard to say.phone dr for advice,that is what they are there for.good luck,
