Cold Symptoms in Pregnancy

Hello.  I have been suffering a terrible cold for 1 1/2 weeks now.  I have tried tylenol.  I am really just very congested in my throat, always am thirsty and have lost my voice with sore throat.  All very viral.  My throat looks fine.  I was wondering if I could use shower soothing tablets like vicks capor rub.  I think it may help break up the congestion.  Also, I have heard various responses, is robitussin ok or not?  Please let me know if these two are safe in pregnancy.  I am 17 1/2 weeks along.

my doc always told me its ok as long as your over 12 weeks. if in doubt, call your doc. you might need to go b/c its been over a week. they could prob give you something to clear it faster
