Concern about ectopic pregnancy

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and have typical pregnancy symptoms.  However, when my husband and I have sex, I have deep internal pain on the right side.  It's pretty sharp.  I have no bleeding and absolutely no pain any other time.  If this were an ectopic, would I have more symptoms?  I'm hoping it's only a cyst.  I have my first appt. next week.

Honestly I wouldnt really worry just yet, My doc was pretty adament that I had an ectopic pregnancy, but after switching to a doc who was a bit more experianced and not as stupid found that i am pregnant with twins, and absolutley no sign of an ectopic pregnancy.

I did however have cramping in my abdomen and pelvic area along with menstrual like cramping in my lower back, I think some cramping is just normal for being pregnant.

As far as painful sex it is typical when being pregnant, Im about 6 weeks and it is painful having intercourse. I would just let your doc know of the pain.

Typical symptoms of an ectopic

Bleeding or spotting
Pain in abdomen and or pelvic region
Nasuea and vommiting
Dizziness or passing out
and painful shoulder

the dizziness, passing out, and painful shoulder is all related to a ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

Don't worry if your not bleeding or cramping, just make sure you let your doc know, it could be a lot of things.

If you do have definate symptoms or the pain gets worse id go to the ER as a ruptured ectopic is deadly if not treated in an appropriate time frame.
