Coughing in Pregnancy

Hello there. I am just over 5 weeks pregnant and i have a really itchy cough. I am scared to cough with all my might, as i am scared that I will hurt my baby.
Is it safe to cough at this stage as hard as i can to relieve the itchy feeling/
My baby is not going to be harmed is it.

I think you are okay and you will not hurt the baby. I have had really bad colds off and on with this pregnancy and with the last one, I had a cough for about a week. Try taking a spoonful of honey with lemon to soothe your throat or drink tea. If the cough persists, I would see the doctor, maybe they could recommend something.
