Could I Be Pregnant or Is It My HPV That is causing my symptoms?

by alfawolfet, Oct 26, 2009 08:21PM

I have been diagnosed with high risk HPV 16 & 18 5 months ago. As of right now and for over a month I have had swollen and tender breast and they keep getting bigger. I started what I think is a period today which is the time I am suppose to start, but I have a light pink discharge instead of a regular period. Last month my period only lasted for two days and was very light. I took a blood pregnancy test a week ago and it came back negative. They want me to test again in 10 days. When I was pregnant with my son I had a period for my first 4 months but it wasn’t like this. If anyone has had these symptoms and know rather or not it’s related to my HPV or if there is a chance it could be something else let me know please…. I have to wait another week before I can see my OBGYN and I am worried… Thank you…

Well I went to my OBGYN today and she said that my HPV has nothing to do with my health problems. Which I was really glad to hear. She had me go and have my blood taken and is running some tests. She is going to check my hormone levels and other things. She is also going to give me a medicine that will help me get pregnant. Which really makes me happy since I have been trying for a very long time with no results. She did a breast exam and said she didn't feel any abnormal lumps. I go and see her again next week to get my test results. Thank you to all who responded to my post. I'm glad that its all going to be okay.

HPV has no symptoms whatsoever, unless you have the low-risk HPV, which is the one that would give you warts. High risk HPV will never tell you its there. Just try to relax and you'll get pregnant :-) When I'm stressed out I miss my period, it *****!
