I am just about 2 months late. I have taken about 13 different hpt of all brands. They all came back with a no. o Iwent in over a week ago to see my doc. They did a bloot test and still a no. But I have signs og being preg and he told me to assume that I am. He gave me pernatal pills and everything. I this right? Can I ask for more test to be done? I have not been under any stress until the last week ondering if Iam or something is wrong. Not over weight and not at the age for the change yet. Has this happen to anyone? Please all the hep I can get!
I would suggest you make an appointment with an OBGYN (if the doctor you have seen is an OBGYN then seek a 2nd opinion) - they can run all the appropriate tests and find out what is going on.
I had a chemical pregnancy in September. Since then I have not had a period. I had fertile quality cervical mucus around the time of ovulation and everything. However, since it's been so long since my last period and I'm getting negative hpt's...it means I'm not ovulating. I felt exactly like I did when I found out I was pregnant...but I'm not.
Many women miss periods for many different reasons that are not pregnancy-related. Taking prenatals is certainly a good idea and wont hurt anything. If you are pregnant, then you would probably only have conceived a few weeks ago so that may not show up on tests yet and is why your doctor is suggesting you assume pregnancy. Do you have a follow-up appointment with this doctor?
