Could it be over already?

by mamaof6, Jun 14, 2008 07:01PM
I posted yesterday about i was sure it was the onset of my m/c. i went about my daily "chores" and such. we took my son to putt putt and went to eat. on the way home i started having contractions. that continues on for about 1-1 1/2 hrs. i did pass some clots in that time. i finally fell asleep and woke up at 4am and went to the bathroom, and sure enough i passed the placenta, gest. sac, and it looked like a huge clot (sorry TMI) all attached together. it was pretty large. anyway, since then i have a little bleeding and really havent passed much else. slight cramping on and off, but not much else. could it be over already, or should i wait for the other shoe to drop? has anyone had one that lasted less than 24 hrs? im just hoping theres not any tissue or anyhting left :/  thanks to anyone could help!

How far along were you?

by ovaz129, Jun 14, 2008 07:07PM
I miscarried naturally in March.  I was 6 1/2 weeks... my miscarriage was pretty intense for about 5 hours.  I bled (very lightly... barely need a pad) for maybe 2 days after the massive clots & tissue passed.  I DID have something left.  I don't think that I would have known this though, if I had not gone to my OB who did an ultrasound to make sure that everything left my uterus.  Have you informed your doctor that you miscarried?

when i went to the dr. on tues (10th) my sac measured 6w4d, but i was actually 9w5d. i started bleeding yesterday and i wouldve been 10w1d. but i feel really fine, w/ the exception of being tired, on & off.  im hoping i passed all the clots n tissue yesterday and last night.

well, im waiting on my medicaid card to come so i can go tot he dr. i was actually going to a pregnancy ctr for my u/s's.  did you have to have a d&c done to get the remaining tissue out?

by ovaz129, Jun 14, 2008 07:11PM
Yeah, hopefully you did.  I am sure that your doctor will want to run blood work to make sure that your HCG levels are going down and eventually go below 5 and maybe will want to do an ultrasound to visually examine your uterus to make sure that everything came out.  Sorry to hear about your lose.  I have had 2 miscarriages in a row (I have no living children) so I know how rough they are.

Uggg!!  Gosh, I do NOT want a d&c :(  Thats why im so worried that everything didnt come out. i pray it did. how long after yours did you get an u/s?

You may have intermittent bleeding for several days....once you've stopped bleeding completely you need to have an HCG test done to make sure you're levels are going back to zero....only if they don't will they probably suggest a d&c....

im hoping i have some more bleeding to make sure its all out. im soo scared of having a d&c! i dont wanna like hemmorage or anyhting of course, but now im lightly bleeding. i am going to go to the doc once i get my card in the mail. im praying its all out when i do go though :/  ive heard if theres a little tissue left sometimes they say it'll pass when you get your period. hmmm... well, ive got to stop worrying about it now. im going to have an anxiety attack. :(  thank you for your help :)

I am very sorry for your loss and hope all turns out well for you. I hope this passes quickly without the need for a D&C.. Hopefully what you saw was EVERYTHING passing.

I'll be praying for you!
