I have not experienced this, but I have definitely heard of women bleeding during early pregnancy - even for up to several weeks - some even that I know of on medhelp - and a lot of times they went on to deliver healthy babies. I'd check w/ your doctor ASAP to make sure it's nothing serious. Best of luck to you!
Well I think it's normal. During my 5-7 or 8 weeks of pregnancy I had bleeding. Sometimes it was like old blood and at other times it was bright red. I was put on bed rest for some time. I am now 16w and everything seems to be going good. Just let your doctor know, maybe they will recommend something. You can call them and they'll let you know what to do.
As I posted elsewhere, I had bleeding at 5 weeks (reddish brown) and at 7 weeks (bright red, just a little). I put myself on bedrest for a week or two after seeing the bright red blood and having it deemed a "threatened miscarriage," but all turned out fine - no more scares and I delivered a healthy baby girl. good luck.
with both of my healthy pregnancies I had brown, pink and even semi heavy bright red bleeding. it means different things for everyone and can be very normal.
I had a light period for a week at 4 weeks and spotting on and off a few times up to 12 weeks. It was sometimes light pink to red like you described and sometimes brown. I had ultrasounds each time when I saw the spotting to see if they could discover where the bleeding came from but they never did work out why. After that I went on to have a healthy baby girl who is now 8 months.
