So I got ahold of a doc before I left to Massachusetts to visit, they had an opening on the 19th, with was 4 days after I came back, so I grabbed it.
Went to see her yesterday and she says everything looks great.
I healed up nicely from my c-section, but now I have a slightly tipped uterus from Ivy being so big.
But that doesn't shock
me because after my mom had my brother Timmy, he was 11.7 and she has a REAL bad tipped uterus after carrying him. But mine is just a slight tilt so she said there's no need to worry.
She also said that my uterus is measuring a lil bit smaller than I should be for being 17w4d but I told her I did the same thing with Ivy. Until I went for my 20th week check up, I measured exactly 2 weeks behind. So I'm probably going through the same thing again.
I asked her if I'm measuring small, then why do I look BIGGER than I should? And I guess it's because of all that gross stretched out skin that I have ontop of my belly from Ivy that it's gunna make me look bigger I guess. Atleast until it stretches back out. GOD I CAN'T WAIT TO GET A TUMMY TUCK!!!
lmao
I get my ultrasound this coming Tuesday at 1:30pm and I can't wait!
I made sure it was later on in the day so hubby can come!
I did get to hear the heartbeat
. I passed yesterday and I'm hoping I won't get G.D. this pregnancy.
I'm sorry I'm rambling but I'm so excited and relieved to have a doc.
I was so used to worrying all the time, "Am I gunna be okay??" because I didn't have any insurance and no doctor and medicaid screwed me over when they cut
me off 2 weeks after I had Ivy. So it's really nice to not have to worry and stress about how everything's gunna be.
Things are running nicely now. Hubby's job is working out fantastic too, and his checks are fabulous. We're all caught up on our car bills and we're all healthy so I'm very pleased with the way things are going!
Yeah, that extra tummy skin leftover from a previous birth can make you look larger sooner. That's how it was for me! My belly is sort of evening itself out now.
Yeah.
Mine won't even tighten back up because of Ivy was 3-4 pounds heavier than the average baby. My skin stretched out waaaaayyyyy beyond it's natural compacity.
I've got too many stretch marks and too much stretched out skin.
Yeah, I've gotten it to tighten up alot compared to how it was the month or two after I had Ivy, but the only way to be hardwood floor tight again like I was pre-pregnancy is a tummy tuck.
And hubby says if this one ain't a boy, he wants to try again 3-5 years down the road one last time for a boy, and after that he's more than willing to save up to get me a tummy tuck and a boob job. [[breastfeeding isn't exactly the "thing" to make your tah-tah's look good. lmao]]
But even if this one is a boy, I might want another one down the road, so I'm not gunna bother with any of that stuff till I'm in my later 20's and positively done with making babies.
Then I'm getting my tubes tied before ANYTHING.
lol
Riot~ i'm gonna be getting a tummy tuck and boob lift when I hit 30. :) I'll be done having kids then and I wanna look GOOD in a bikini! (my skin is also very stretched out but not nearly like yours. it will be after this baby tho!)
it is possible to get your belly back without a tummy tuck... alot of hardwork and exercise.. mine was starting to look good before i got pregnant again.. but even though im pregnant im still working out.. that is the key to keeping your body fit and healthy. do u know how much a tummy tuck is? they are very expensive.. i could spend that money on my daughter rather than get a tummy tuck.. i see all of my stretch marks and skin has battle wounds and i am very proud of them.. i could care less what i look like in a bikini... chasing two kids around will keep me busy enough to not think about such things.. but i do know what you mean about the extra skin in the second pregnancy..
I was told by my DOC that it will NEVER go back to anything more than I had already gotten it.
I worked HARD to get what I could off and it won't do any more.
It's like when a morbidly obese person goes thru a bypass and then has all that extra skin afterward... they ain't "workin that off."
Try carrying around an 11 pound baby and tell me how good you get your stomach to look after that.
I'm aware of how much a tummy tuck is and it's mine and my husbands choice for me to get it.
With our choice in careers, we'll be able to afford to put away a little here and a little there for a couple years before hand to save up for the procedures and still be able to provide for ourselves and our kids.
Texas living is cheaper and makes things alot easier.
If getting the surgery meant my kids going without, then ofcoarse that means I'll have to wait because my kids come first.
But I don't need no snot nose tellin me what I can and cannot do. I don't need no one tellin me that doesn't know what I'm talking about when it comes to the aftermath of my belly that I can "do better" when I was told by and ****MD**** that she highly doubts I could get it any tighter than I already have because of the stretched out skin from carrying a really big baby. I'm not a kid, I know how life works and I'm not a selfish hag. I know how much plastic surgeries can add up to and I know saving up for them is gunna take some time.
I'll never get back into a bikini because my stretchmarks aren't meant for public eyes, and I never liked bikinis much anyways. But I'm doing it for myself. To look good for ME.
And I'm sorry if you don't agree with it.
