For a friend with PCOS

by Kels123, Dec 27, 2008 12:39PM
My friend just found out she is pregnant, and I am totally thrilled. Now we can be pregnant together, but she hasn't seen the doctor yet, according to her last period, she would be abour 8 weeks already. However, she has PCOS and she and her boyfriend are nervous about miscarrying because of it. Does PCOS really mean miscarriaging is more common? She can have a healthy pregnancy even though she has PCOS, right? She is trying to get to the doctors right away, but I really hope that everything will be okay for her. Anyone have any answers or suggestions???
Thanks!

Having PCOS doesn't mean you'll miscarry. If she's taking Metformin it actually reduces the risks of miscarrying.
