Freaking out....

Freaking out....

Before I new I was pregnant my fiance came home with this legal "weed" he got at the gas station it was called potpourri or spice. I smoked it quite a few times.  I haven't smoked it cence i found out I was prego nor do I plan to. What I was wondering is does anyone no of the side affects it might of had on my baby? I cant find any online. Im just freaking out thinking I hurt my baby before I even new I was having one.

I don't know of any side defects spice has on a fetus or if it even does but u said u only smoked it 1 time BEFORE u knew you were pregnant so my advice to u is just don't do it again (which I'm sure you won't)

Congrats on your pregnancy by the way :)

People do a lot worse before they find out they're pregnant and go on to have healthy babies

I actually know someone who smoked illegal marijuana through all 3 of her pregnancies (which I think is pathetic) and has 3 perfectly healthy children.

I'm sure you'll be just fine try not to stress as its not good for the pregnancy  and congratulations :)

I wouldn't worry; most women take medications, drink, etc in early pregnancy and their babies turn out fine.

In fact, I was worried because I took a prescription in early pregnancy and my doc told me it was " a bundle of cells at the time" and "definitely wouldn't be affected."

Its not regulated by the fda so you probably wont find much info.  Just don't do it anymore and since u r so early everythi g should b fine.  Take care and good luck.

my neighbor had a baby in february. she smoked the "legal weed" probably once or twice a week. NOW when SHE found out she was pregnant, she told her OB, and she was also losing weight due to stress, and also with back problems(scoliosis), tryin not to gain to much weight. HER OB, told her there was no harm in the legal weed, and in her case, since all it did was make her want to eat, she needed to cut back the smoking, but at the same time, it was making her eat...

now, that was HER situation. her son had no problems whatsoever, and she smoked until just a couple days before her son was born. not all dr's would agree with this. so don't take it to mean that it's ok for everyone.

i hope this helps...
