This is going to be our last thread where we share our last symptoms, fears and whatever else before we deliver! Please girls, let us know once you are close and don't forget, as soon as you feel better, please share your experience since it is crutial for others :)

So I just got back from the doctor where I had a little scare.  :(  I had to have an u/s on the spot today because my tummy is measuring the same as it did a few weeks ago so my doctor was worried.  Anyway, all is perfect.  Kayden is measuring at 6lbs 8oz!  I'm glad he's not going to be huge.  I was only 7 lbs some oz as a baby, so it works out.  :)  I'm still at 1cm dilated but I'm 70% effaced this week and was 50% last week.  The doctor started to strip the membranes a bit but didn't want to do it aggresively until I'm 39 weeks.  :(  It hurt so bad!!!  I'm so glad my husband was there to hold my hand and let me squeeze his!  I was also proud of myself for not crying!

Hi Girls!
   I just got back from the doctor. They did an u/s, accourding to that baby is 8lbs and 2oz . Baby falls under 87th percentile. My hubby is big and was healthy baby at birth so it's not a surprise to us. Moreover, doctor didn't seem to be concerned. He asked us, if I don't go to labor on my own, when should I be induced? He said any time after 39 weeks good. I said 39weeks is good. So they might induce me in early July. Looks like I will be going first.

Zuz-My doctor did not check my cervix. The last time he did was in the 36th week, so I don't know how much I am dialated or effaced. My tummy measured fine, but u/s shows a healthy 8 pounder. Don't know how accurate that is. Btw, what is this stripping of membranes? Why are doctors different? I wish he checked my cervix. Anyways, a week more to go.

Anya-U/s showed baby's head down. But the tech didn't say if it's engaged or not. Baby is moving a lot and that's a relief. But as you said he/she pushes my bladder and chat bear that. The nurse said, drinking raspberry might bring on contractions. Have you heard of that? And of course sex. But I can't even think of that, my right upper thigh is killing me. I will wait and see when my baby is ready..if not get induced.

Maria! Wow!  That is awesome!!  I want to be induced too!  Seriously, I'm just exhausted lately.  I know its great working from home but I've barely been working because there is so much to do and I'm just pooped!!  It doesn't matter if he checked you or not.  You know that you are good to go!!  Woo hoo!!

This is what it means: stripping membranes is essentially just an aggressive pelvic exam in which the doctor will feel around just inside your cervix where the membranes ("bag of water") are attached to its rim. By running an examining finger around the inside of your cervix, he can separate the amniotic sac from where it's stuck there. Theoretically, this will allow the bridging molecules that stick the membranes to the inside rim of the cervix to break--all at a molecular level, mind you--and so be released and then converted into prostaglandins, which are powerful stimulants of labor.

Man, it hurts!

I haven't heard of drinking raspberry juice to get things going but my doctor did say walking and sex will help.  I've been walking but sex...who could think about that?!?! I'd rather take  nap.  :)

Hi girls, glad to hear we are all ready to go. Went to doc this am and still nothing about being dilated, but I am 90 % efface, so I guess is some progress, baby is engaged in pelvic cavity but doc syas that still has ways to go.

Anya- i can't believe your MW don't want to write a paper for you to be off work. My doc did as soon as I asked and I haven't had any problems with my pregnnacy neither. It is not fair for you to be working when you feel so tired.

Zuz- so they stripped your membranes? wow maybe you will go sooner. I also heard about sex, but heck I don't feel like it at all.

Maria- glad to hear your baby is measuring 8 pounds, that is a great healthy weight, actually pretty perfect. It is nice to hear your doc is open to an induction, mine has not said anything about, so I guess I will have to wait until the little one wants to come out. Next week I will be 38 weeks and you guys will be 39, right?

He did a little bit.  It hurt like h*ll!  I don't think I'll go sooner.  :(  He said he'll be more aggressive next week because I'll be 39 weeks by then.  Owww....

I'm going to ask about induction next week.  We never really talked about it so I don't know what the normal practice is for inducing.  I would LOVE to have this baby within the next week!!! Actually, if somehow he's born on July 2, that would be awesome.  That's my father in laws bday and I know it would make my hubby happy.  :)

Gosh I wish I will be 38 weeks this week like you guys but nope still 37 so Iguess I will be  Waiting a little bit longer or maybe not who knows.
Today bbay is being moving like crazy, and it hust a lot, guess we are running out o space you move around.


Zuz- so they are going to keep stripping your membranes next week? wow I wonder why they are doing that to you, my doc has not mentioned this at all. Good thing you will be 39 weeks next week and then 40 weeks, are you dilated or effaced at all.

Anya and Maria- hope you girls are progressing well too. Sometimes I wish to have this little one right away.

Yes! And I don't mind if it makes things happen faster.  This sux!  haha!  As of yesterday I'm only 1cm dilated and 70% effaced.  So hopefully whatever he did yesterday will make things progress a tiny bit faster.  I don't know though...

Zuz- My doctor didn't even mention about stripping the membranes. That seems to be pretty painful. About the inducing part, doctor left it open to us..Lets see how it goes.. If I am holding on till my next appointment then we are going to talk about inducing. Congrats on 38th week.

Eternidad- I am worrying if I will be bale to deliver the baby vaginally. Will it be difficult to deliver big baby vaginally. I don't want to have a c-section.  But if that is necessary and its safe for my baby, I am open to it. My baby has been moving a lot these days and oh God!!! it hurts...

Anya- How are you doing? When are seeing your MW again.

I will be 32 weeks tomorrow and im jealous of all you ladies that are so much closer! Anyways I just wanted to wish you all luck on a quick and pain free delivery!!! Your little ones will be here before you know it:)

Maria, you will do great!  8-9 lbs babies are perfectly normal weight!  That alone is not a reason for c-section ever.  My poor cousin delivered a 9.5lb boy with no epidural because it was too late!!  Both mommy and baby were just fine. :)

Girls, I woke up today and felt my panty little wet. I went to the bathroom and checked and it was wet. I got worried and called the doctor. The receptionist said sometimes fluid comes out at this time and is normal. I water breaks, the flow is continuous and it won't stop. Until there is no contractions I am fine. I thought my water broke today :)

Zuz-Thanks! How are you feeling today. Your poor cousin! I can only imagine the pain she went through. I too am ready, but want to deliver in July. My birthday and our wedding anniversary is in July. My DH jokes,, there is going to be too much expense in July.

Hi girls! As I was typing you all a long post, my laptop just decided to take a break and shut down!!!!! Imagine that?! So I have no energy to retype everything :(
Sorry girls, I just want to say I think you all are way ahead of me...I will ask for cervix check next Wed, I hope to be at least 2-3 cm dilated and more than 50% effaced.I was told on Monday that my baby is not engaged yet :(
Also, some bad news. I requested lab blood work because I started to have horrible attackes due to iron supplement....finally, I got that lab work done and received a phone call from my midwife...she said, my iron levels are good BUT I have low platelets count!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, I am so nervous now! Low platelets can lead to many different problems, including horrible syndroms (syndromes) and stuff.. So she requested another blood work for me, I will go tomorrow.
Basically, mine is 134 and normal is 150. If it is lower than 100, I cannot have epidural, can you believe this?! Anyway, I really hope to deliver like next week!! That way the levels won't drop as bad..this platelets prevent blood clots so it is pretty important to have them in range. You cannot treat it at all except deliver a baby!!
So I am kinda upset but other than that, baby is moving so its all good!

Maybe I should try rasberry leaf herb tea? Yeah, sex is a problem, but I make myself do that :) not as much of course..and also LOTS OF WALKING! that's what I do even though my spine hurts and I have contractions and what not!

Maria- wow, wouldn't be nice to have your water leak so you can deliver? I don't know...I would be happy probably. But yeah, it needs to be continuous...if your panties would be wet again and again, that is a concern for water breaking..other than that...just fluids :)

Hi Girls!
  Exciting news...I am in labor. Last night around 11pm I started to feel crampy. At first I thought it was nothing major and I tried to go through with it. But the pain kept coming back. My dh said that I should call the doctor and tell him. I called my doc at 1am and through answering service my doc called me back and I told him about the cramping, he asked I'd it was painful and I said 'yes'. He told me go to the hospital. Just before leaving I went to bathroom to pee and saw bloody discharge and something looked like clot. I started panicking. We got to the hospital along with my mom. They initialy put me the observation room and checked my cervix it was 2cm dialated and 80% effaced. Baby's heart rate is fine. I found out that the cramping was in fact contractions. Right now my contractions have increased, 4cm dialated and still 80% effaced.  I wanted to pass on this information to my forum buddies, so quickly grabbed my phone to post this. I will update you all soon. Please keep me and my baby in your prayers. Looks like it will be a while before I deliver. It's 6:25am EST. Doc siad so far everything is looking fine. I am trying to get some sleep, but not able to..too much pain. I am bearing pain and have not taken any pain medication. I did ask for epidural later if needed. I will try keep you all you all updated whenever possible.

Maria!!!!!!!!!  YAY!!!!  I'm crying as I'm reading your post!  I'm SO happy for you!!!!  You're going to be such an awesome momma!!!  I can't believe we've come this far from where we were...  I'll keep you in my prayers today, keep a candle lit for you, and hope for a nice, easy delivery!  I'm so jealous!  haha!

Anya, don't start freaking out.  That's not good for you or the baby.  Everything will be fine as long as they keep checking you.  I'm with you. I hope I'm really dilated next week too!  My appt is on Tues.  The day the baby furniture arrives!!!

Maria!!!!!! go girl, so happy for you!!!! in labor that is great news, perfect timing!!! Things are going to go well and you will be able to have a beautiful baby, don't worry people have lots of vaginal birth and babiess can weight 9-10 pounds. OMG I am so excited for you.

Anya- I agree with Zuz, try to stay calm you will be fine. I know low platelets counts is not the good but the good news is that they can always give you some platelets if you need it after baby is born. Think about you are almost 39 weeks and baby is almost here. I will be praying for you, so things can come along well.

Me no more changes, still waiting and doing lots of walking girls. Next week I will be 38 weeks and hopefully I can have baby by then.

My lovely ladies.....
  I am a mommy now. I delivered a baby boy on 26th June at 7:1pm. He is 8lbs and 7oz. Big baby. Labor was long, but deliver was short. It was a normal delivery. But I ended up with stitches as doctor cut some area and my son tore too. I am in pain. But the joy is nothing comparable to anything. I am so happy. Thank you girls for being there always. I am so happy that I can't express. I went first and waiting to hear who is next. I will send you all emails with more details.

Zuz-Thanks for your prayers. How did you guess it was a boy?  You are having a boy too. Have to wait and see what Eternidad is having.By the way did you get your cradle? We haven't got ours yet. We will buy one from babies are us and cancel the one we ordered. My son couldn't wait till next week. He had to come soon.

Eternidad- thanks a lot a dear. I can't wait to see who is going next. I don't know how I got the strength to push the baby. Thanks to God! I prayed to mother Mary to give me the strength to deliver the baby.

Anya- don't worry too much dear. Everything will be fine. Before going to the labor they are going check you blood levels including platelets. Yours will be fine. Don't worry.

Maria!!  Congratulations!!!  I'm so happy for you!  I'm so glad you are both healthy and everything went well!  What a big boy!! I don't know how I guessed.  I just always felt that you are having a boy.  It's funny that we both are and we did our procedures on the same day.  Maybe that had something to do with it! haha!  8lbs 7oz??  Wow!!! That's amazing!  I can't wait to see some pictures of him!  What did you guys name him?  How do you feel being a mommy?  Does it feel real yet??  Yes, we got our cradle and bedding last week.  I feel like I am going to be the last one to have this baby.  He doesn't want to come out!  I think he's comfy in there!

I've already packed my hospital bag and have made sure that I stuck my rosary in there for while I'm in the hospital. I know I'm going to be scared out of my mind!

I'm 39 this week and I seriously have been feeling miserable.  I have developed a bad case of carpal tunnel.  My hands are sore and numb all the time and my feet are SO fat now.  :(  I really can't wait till 'Labor Day!' I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and ask him about induction.  If he says I'm crazy for asking I obviously won't do it but if there is no harm to me or baby, I'll consider.  I don't want to be pregnant for another week or two...

Zuz- I hear you about having huge feet, mine look pretty bad too.Sorry about carpal tunnel syndrome one more thing to add to our list of discomfort. I wonder about Anya, she has no been online in a while, I think I am going to wait until tomorrow and try to send her a personal e mail or call her. We are all in this together.
Soon my friend we will have our litlle one.
I also have an appoitment tomorrow, will see what happens, lately I have been having more frequent BH contractions but nothing major.
Hopefully your doc will agree on induction, keep me posted please. I worry about us all.

MARIA!!! CONGRATS!!! I can't believe you are soooo done!!!!!!! YOu are the first to go and now you are a happy mother of a healthy boy!! Oh, how jelaous am I?! !!!!!

Please when you have time, please tell us everything, I am so scared for my delivery....how bad is the pain? When did you request an epidural? Did you feel much when pushing? How long total was your labor? You said long...I don't know what to expect but I seriously hope that my contractions will start soon, GOD HELP ME!
I only have 5 days left and NOTHING! Does it happen suddenly?  Did they break your water ? Did you have mucus plug coming out? I got nothing going on except BH!

I feel like ZUZ, fat and miserable!
I had another blood test done today, will know the results on Wednesday on my appt..I hope I will be dilated at least 2-3 cm....Im so tired, still at work and REALLY WANT TO HAVE THAT BABY AND hold it in my arms!!!!!

I don't know what to expect...how its going to go? Is it very embarrasing to have your legs in the air like that with hubby in there, painful? Gosh...so many tjhoughts.....but finally, I just want to have that baby already! I barely walk!! I really don't want to be induced after my due date, my MW waits another week at LEAST! :(

Anya- I am so glad we got news from you. I know we are all worried, but I have the feeling your baby will come out pretty soon. You only have 5 more days letf, wow what a relief. I still have 14 days left grhhhhh. So long, and I am so tired. Like you can barely walk, my feets are killing me and having more BH every day.

Eternidad - I totally feel you, my feet are swollen and hurt but I still manage to walk about 2 miles every day, hoping it will help me to deliver before July 5th..However, I only have 5 days left and so far, nothing :(
I have an appt tomorrow with mw, she will hopefully do cervix check and tell me if I am dilated more than 1 cm and effaced more than 50% ...because I believe BH do that for you and I have so many, I don't count them really..they last for at least a minute too...and some re little painful...just little. I have a feeling that ZUZ and I will be delivering last, honestly because our babies are not as big as yours or Maria's. Im so happy for her, she is so done! :)
I will start working from home tomorrow and Thursday and hopefully I will be in labor on Thursday (haha , wishful thinking!)....the MW will not induce before 41 weeks ever...so Im trying to be positive but I might be late..
I just don't understand, I swam and walked and even had sex, taking primrose oil for delivery and still NOTHING? I do everything to have this baby (walking is torture lately!), but no cramps are coming my way!!!!!

HI!!  I just got back from the doctor and he said I was still 1cm dilated but 90-100% EFFACED!! He said that it's reasonable to say that Kayden will be here before the week is over (but, of course, he didn't guarantee it)!!!  Woo hoo!!!!!!!! He stripped the membranes 75% and it didn't hurt as bad this week!!  I read that when your body is not ready, stripping the membranes is very painful (last week was torture). But when it is more ready it hurts much less!  God, I hope he comes soon!!!

Anya, don't worry.  Our babies will come when they are ready.  They are in charge right now.  :)  I seriously wish he'd come TODAY but if he doesn't want to, what can I do??  I've been walking a lot too.  That helps a lot with effacement so I'm sure you're way more than 50%!!

Eternidad, I'm with you.  I'm praying for a fast delivery!  The good thing is that we know its gonna happen no matter what!  We just want it to happen sooner rather than later!!

Anyway, I have a weird urge to go clean out my pantry!  That will definitely keep me busy for a little while!  :)

ZUZ - I am happy for you! I guess you haven't lost your plug? Well, I know my mw sure not doing anything in my cervix like your doc...Im happy that it doesn't hurt for you all that much and how lucky are you to have your baby before this week ends?! :) I hope everything goes well for you! Please let us know! Its only three of us left , hang in there!
As for me, I m still at work and totally SLEEPY! I don't kno wwhy but I wake up at 4 and can't get back to sleep..of course, now I am soooooooo sleepy, that it hurts!  baby is moving but I still carry high so Im not sure that she got really effecated! I wish it would be like 80-90 % !!!
I wish I can have her today or tomorrow and I Was told that it will happen suddenly, the cramping...so Im praying for cramping every day now..haha, let's see what we are going to pray for once we got those very painful cramps!!

Hi girls, still hanging here. Today I ahd my doc appoitm, no changes from last week tuesday everythingis the same 100% effaced and 1 cm dilated. It is frustating, NO changes at all, baby has a mind of its own.

Anya- so glad you are gping to be working from home, glad you are able to walk 2 miles daily it is so nice. I  don't think tha nowdays I walk that much anymore bc my back is killing me, and I get this pain in my pelvic bone, making me feel like crying everytime I move around, can't lift out my legs or move them at all wihout helping them with my hands. Even at night can't roll on my sides easily bc everything hurts, my legs, my pelvis it is pretty bad.
I also being having sex, taking rapseryy leave tea, etc and nothing, my cervix is pretty closed only 1 cm open, so my doc say that it will probbaly will be one more week or maybe more for me.UGHHHHHH!!!

Zuz- I ask my OB about stripping my membranes and she said not for now, that she likes my body to do it on its own. It is frustrating still the same since last week 100% effaced and 1cm, she is hoping that my BH will get stronger and help me dilated more, will see. You are feeling an uge to clean, humphhhh, they said that it might be a sign of baby getting closer.

Girls I am so tired, and moody, and painful everywhere, can't find a comfortable position to rest and this is taking so longggggg.

Glad we are togetehr on this.

Hi girls, quick note!
First of all, I am glad that Maria is doing all good, I just read her email.....what a relief!!
Another note, my MW called today with bad news...my platelets count has dropped sooo much that another 17 count and I will be in serious danger. So tomorrow I will be doing all kinds of tests(on top of low count of platelets I also have high count of uric acid whcih are kidney problems..) and also I might have an u/s make sure the baby is doing alright. After that, if my count is getting lower ( i had 117 on Monday, and if it is 100 and low, you are in trouble), then they will induce ......I hope that I won't get to 100 and get induced like Thur -Friday..But they might find out the results from lab on Thursday.
Anyway, tomorrow please wish me luck. My MW will also check cervix, I hope I am more dilated and more effaced. I will keep you informed as to the results and all..I am so depressed when I heard the news...I hope baby is ok!
Eternidad - I feel EXACT same, sore and painful everyhwere...very moody too!! and super hungry for some reason.

Anya- You poor thing. I can read ho worried you are. Don't worry too much, they will take care of you and your baby. Good Luck for tomorrow. I will pray that your counts are fine. If they have to induce you, it's totally fine there s nothing to worry. You are full term and baby will be absoulutely fine. The pain and discomfort you and eternidad are feeling was exactly same as mine. Your labr is very close. Keep everything ready, right near the door, so that you can grab and rush to the hospital. Sleep weep and try to get some rest coz you can't later. I am praying for you.

Eterndad- Every one thought that you would go first, but I beat you to it. Waiting to know who is second. The pain is more towards the end. Hang in there, you are so close.

Zuz- your doctor is so different than mine, he let nature take it's course and didn't strip the membranes. I was only 2cm dialated when I went to labor, hence the long labor. Good luck to you!

Anya, I'm so sorry!  I know you're scared! I would be too.  The good thing is that your baby is full term and if they need to induce to get her out right now, its ok!  Just take care of yourself and listen to everything they tell you and most importantly, don't stress!  We're all here for you and praying for you!

Eternidad, my doctor didn't go aggressive at 38 weeks. He was more aggressive yesterday (im 39 wks today) and it didn't hurt as much, which says body is more ready.  I don't know. It may work or it may not.  There is no guarantee.  I could stay pregnant for another week or two! Ahh!!!

Maria, my doctor asked me if it was something I wanted to try or not.  I said YES!  haha! It's not something they do for everyone unless the patient is ok with it. The way I've been feeling, I was totally ok!!  My hands and feet are so swollen and my hands are numb!  Some fingers have gone permanently numb now.  :(

I think it's normal to feel this horrible towards the end!  It just sux though!  Hope to hear that one of us goes into labor soon (not you Maria YOu're so lucky! :)  )!

Hi girls!
Thank you for support! What a hectic day I had today. To keep the story short, I was not able to do the blood work today because they first want to check my urine (24 hours I need to pee in a jar...), so the blood work will be tomorrow at noon. And the results should be at my mw by 3 p.m. the u/s went great, the baby is measuring 6.12lbs, which is on a smaller size but ok. It is 3 kg and I was born 2.800 kg, so she is already bigger than I was. We had  a talk with MW, and she said that if my numbers are very low tomorrow ( a sign of preclamsia even though I don't have high blood pressure...still very scary!!!) , then I will go in to the hospital tomorrow and will be induced next day. If the numbers are not soo bad , then they will schedule induction either sunday or monday, depending on the hospital schedule. There is one midwife that I am scared of (she is military style) but it looks like we cannot avoid her :(
anyway, the baby should be here by latest Wednesday, which would be 3 days past my due date....I hope that my labor starts like today!!! That way I don't have to be induced :(
they said the induction is pretty painful and contractions are much worse then natural ones!

Zuz, my MW did the membraine thing today with me, OMG, that was pretty painful!!!!! Although my cervix is soft, I am still!!!!!!!! 1 cm dilated andd only 50% effaced.....grrrrrrr...that sux!!! Even worse than eternidad!!!!

so nothing has changed since 3 weeks ago, what a sadness! I swim, walk, do other things, take primrose oil, and still nothing?!!! frustrating..
so I hope tomorrow's blood work shows not so bad numbers, that way I can go in either sunday or monday.....
My bro's birthday is on 4th of July too, hehe....

Anya- Sweetie, don't stress out too much, everything will be fine. I heard that inducing will result in very painful contractions. They had to induce me in the end as my labor was prolonging. I couldn't feel any pain as I was numb. But in between  I started feeling contractions only on the right side. Some how the right side didn't seem to get numb as left side. Listen to your doctors they have done so many deliveries they know everything.

Zuz- I will send the pctures. I have to upload it. No time for both of us since the little ones arrival.

Anya, I agree with Maria.  Just listen to whatever the doctors tell you at this point.  The good news is that once the baby is here you'll be back to normal!  Yeah, the membrane stripping killed last week!  It really wasn't as bad yesterday. Thank God.  I know that slow progression is frustrating.  I'm right there with you!!!!

I can't wait till my baby decides to show up.  I went into a cleaning frenzy today.  Cleaned the pantry out, the kitchen washed more little muchkin clothes, put his bedding together in the crib.  I still feel like there is so much to do!  But am soooo ready for him to come!!!

Maria- I am so happy for you, and thanks a lot for your e mail, it did help me a lot, I know we all thought I will be going first =, but you beat me to it, glad everything went well, but I wish I will go next but for the look of things it will be longer, no pain, no contractions but BH at times and that it is.

Anya- Nice to hear they are following in you with you blood coount, hopefully things start moving along a little bit more before Sunday or Monday, so you don't have to wait that long. I wish I will also go around that time.

Zuz- I am praying for all of us to go into labor by this Sunday thelates, so let's keep our prayers together and see. The slow progression ispretty frustrating like you said, but not only that but inability to walk well, or breath, or sleep is also killing us.

Girls, let's try to be postive and optimistic and let's all put our minds to this Saturday or Sunday, maybe all our babies can hae the same birthday, that will be great too.

I had my blood work and urine done today but guess what? Because it is a holiday starting tomorrow, they might not have results for blood work and what's worse, for urine! The urine was the most important thing.....
I spoke with mw earlier today before blood work and all, and she said she scheduled me tentatevly to come in saturday night and start inducing on Sunday.....I know I heard that induction is really painful but they still don't want me to have epidural till 5 cm!!!! Im like...shooot,...it might not be possible...I hate pain. anyway we will see, I wish my labor just starts but it looks like she doesn't want to come out herself..
Im going to clean my kitchen today and do other stuff in the house so that I don't have to worry about it later.....my baby doesn't move as much anymore :( i hope everything is fine!

Maria - how s your recovery? Do you have lots of blood? Hows the baby?

i'm all done myself, had Kendall Michelle by emergency c-section about two and a half weeks ago.  She was almost 5 wks early.  But she's doing great and thriving and gaining weight like a champ.  

I can't say I miss the misery of the last month of pregnancy, lol.  So i feel for you all.  Good luck, ladies!  You're in the home stretch :-)

  I can still see that your are all the same. I was hoping atleast one would be in labor today :) hang in there girls just few more days. I am doing alright I guess, I was not able to sleep until yesterday. But my little jem is sleeping and I could catch up with some sleep. But I still have to wake up and feed him. Breast feeding is painful, but it's very benefcial. Are you all planning to breast feed?


Anya-Sorry to hear what are going through.  Did your mw check your cervix again?
I don't have much bleeding, it's like the periods. I am in so much pain down there because of Episiotomy and hemorrhoid(caused due to pushing). I am taking OTC pain meds.This should be alright in a week or two..I am hoping.

Eternidad-yes I beat you to delivery. Looks like you are all delivering on the same day. How nice if that happens..I won't be a part of it then:) you will all be in July except me.

Zuz- happy 39th week.. If I didn't go to labor on my own I would be induced this weekend.:) just few more days baby will be here.

Anya- whta a bummer about your tests results, but you know the good thing is you MW is panning for induction on Saturday, I think this coming week on my doc appoitm I am going to bring the subject to my doc, i will be 39 weeks this coming Sunday. Don't worry we will all be praying for you, and sending you good positive energy and thoughts your way.

Zuz- hope you are doing wel, when you have a chance come and post, or maybe you too beat me to having this baby like Maria.

ok, a little update from me...went to the hospital to run some more tests and did non stress test....after 3 hours, one of the midwife who was there told me...that Im scheduled to come in tomorrow!!!! That's it girls, I will be induced on Sunday!!! Boy I am scared!
So I go in on Saturday at 6, they will put me on monitor for the whole night and also put some jell to soften my cervix...don't know how im gonna pee...then on sunday, I will have a slight breakfast and will be induced. MW said, don't expect easy and short labor, it will be at least 12 hours of exchrusiating pain due to inducement. ...I will do my best to ask for epi as later as possible...im so nervous....I hope to have less then 12 hours of torture and have my little one very soon!!
My body doesn't want to push her out...so i guess inducement is a good thing for me!

Maria - wow, poor you, how do you go to the bathroom, alright? Cuz with all the stiches and hemmoroids (hemorrhoids)...u said you didn't push too much and yet, you got hemmoroids (hemorrhoids)? I hope they wont cut me, I heard episiotomy is pretty painful for recovery....

Anya- my friend Anya I am wishing you the best of lucks, it is nice ot hear you mw is being proactive, you had a non stress test and they decided to induce you by tomorrow. I know it sound bad to be induced but I have a feeling you will do fine. It is normal to be scared but remember us and remember that he outcome will be far better.
If you start getting painful don't hesitage and ask for the epidural, I don't like seeing my friends in pain.
My thoughts are with you and I will be thiking of you today and tomorrow wishing you a fast delivery.
As soon as you get a chance keep us posted and give us details of how did it go. Can't believe that by tomorrow you will be kissing your litlle one. I am so happy for you, can't believe you too are beating me to it.
If I keep going to this pace Zuz will probably go before me,it seems that when they did my IVF they glued baby to me, ja, ja, ja.

Anya-Good luck to you tomorrow! Everything will be fine. Don't forget to give us an update when you get a chance. Don't hesitate to ask for epidural because after sometime when you feel you can still bear it it will be too late as they won't give epidural after 5cm dialation.
Oh oh don't talk about hemorrhoids and stitches. Compared to labor delivery was short. I had push with all my strength to get my baby out. So there was lots on pushing and also episiatomy on to top that my son even tore more coming out. You heard it right it is painful and takes longer to recover. We will all pray for you. Good luck my friend.

Eternidad-Meeting is a wonderful idea. Let's plan over skype when everyone is ready. I have to upload the pictures yet. Will send a picture of our son soon. Now that I know what zuz and Anya are having I am eager to know what you'll have.

im in the hospital already and they put that jell in me to start me contracting over 12 hours, so hopefully if my cervix is ready, I will be starting petosin or whatever the name is tomorrow...there are lots of things that can go wrong, but i dont think about it...right now, with this jell i already satrted to feel some contractions, and even though they are mild, they are painful, so im definately asking for epi tomorrow..i don't know how comfy im going to be sleeping here at night, there is no real place for hubby to stay...poor thing..thank god I brought blanket for him and a pillow...damn it, my babys heart is droping all the time im having strong contraction......i hope there is no point to worry but it is worrysom...:( thanks for being there for me, I hope everything will turn out fine and i will have a vaginal delivery after all!
i believe it will be my last update and I hope to be induced tomorrow if everything goes wel...

Maria- How is your sonn doing, adjusting to home well? is he letting you sleep much? how is breastfeeding coming along? Are you in much pain? Hopefully things are moving well with you both and you are getting enough rest.

Since yetserday I have been having this mild contracions, but they are spread out nothing with  pattern, baby is not moving much nowdays, so hopfully everything is well and my B-day is coming soon. I am 39 weeks today.

Hi Everyone!  I'm so sorry I wasn't on!  I've been so busy getting ready for baby to come.  I've turned into a maniac! haha!  I guess the textbook term in 'Nesting'.  :)

Anya!!  Oh my God!!!  I'm thinking of you and praying for a safe and as easy as possible delivery!  Don't think about anything except the end result: you're beautiful little baby girl!!!  This is so exciting!!  Don't forget that God is with you every step!!

Eternidad, I'm still here and very pregnant!  I'm 39 weeks and 4 days today and so over being pregnant.  My carpal tunnel has gotten much worse which makes it even more difficult to sleep, if that's possible.  I really don't sleep anymore. I've really never been this miserable.  :(  My hand has gone numb typing this.

Maria, how are you adjusting to mommyhood.  I bet you you're perfect!  How is the little one doing?  Is he sleeping ok?  Are you sleeping at all!?! :)  I'm so ready for delivery.  My current pain and discomfort seem worse than labor pains because at least with labor pains, you know its gonna end and you have a bundle of joy to show for it at the end.

Zuz- glad to hear things are well with you, you know what I mean by well. I know right now we are totally tired,exhausted and ready to have the little ones. Today I woke up wth some cramps on my lower abdomen noting consistent but it is so uncomfortable. Tuesday I have my next appoitment, so I am going to talk to my doc about induction. I will be 40 weeks next Sunday   and don't want to be over that period of time.

Anya- hopefully by now you have your little baby girl and you are both doing well. Remember our thoughts are with you.

Zuz- yep just the two of us left, will se who goes first, may be I will, or at least wwe go pretty close together. Last night I spent all night having contractions every 15-20 minutes, could not sleep at all, was going to go to the hospital but decided to wait until this morning, now the contractions are gone and I just feel tired and sore all over.
Have an appoitment tomorrow morning at 1100, and I am going to talk to my doc about induction, I am going to tellher I can't sleep, or walk and the pressure inmy pelvis is killing me, so I don't want to wait longer then 40 weeks. Will see what she says.

Anya- hope you had a safe delivery and you are just snuggling your little one a lot, as soon as you get a chance let us know.

Maria- hope you are getting some sleep with your baby, let us know how is breastfeeding coming along with you two.

Eternidad, I'm with you: completely miserable.  I'm in constant pain from my carpal tunnel and aching legs and feet.  I'm getting tons of BH but I don't know if I have contractions.  I have spasms of pain here and there.  I lost the muscus plug.  I'm just waiting and going nuts!  I moved my appt up to today at 2:30 because I couldn't wait till Wed.  I wish I could wish him out!

I have an update!!  If baby doesn't show by Wed, my doctors have scheduled an induction for Thursday at 6:30am!!  I should be freaked out, but with the way I'm feeling, I'm actually happy!!  I'll be 40 weeks and 1 day at that point.

Zuz- I am so happy for you, at least now you know that by Thursday he will be here. Today I went to the hospital bc more BH they said I am in the early stages of labor but still dilated to 1 cm and 100% effaced, so I have been like this for 3 weeks now, what adrag. I am getting so anxious and frustrated. Tomorrow mornng I go to see my OB and will see, I will keep you posted.

Aww...I'm sorry.  I've been 1cm for 3 weeks too!!!  What the heck! I'm sure your doctor will be ready to induce you soon too.  When is your official due date? They made sure not to schedule me until I was passed my 40 week mark at my office. I hope he comes naturally still, between now and Wed night, but it does feel good to know that he will be here by the weekend!  I got a little scared because my hospital paper said that it can take 1-3 days for baby to arrive after induction...ahhhh!!!!

I agree this part is so frustrating! Anyway, I'm thinking of you, hoping you are feeling ok and you get good news tomorrow from your doc!  Please let me know how it goes!

   How are you both doing? I am getting adjusted to motherhood. I am breast feeding and that's not very easy, it hurts. I ordered a breast pump online and I am waiting for it. I can pump some milk so that my husband can feed the baby sometimes.

Eternidad, how did your appointment go today? Did your doctor talk about inducing?

Hi girls, I am back  and guess what had my baby. The morning of  July 6 was feeling pretty uncomfy, started ontracting on and off thought were BH, hubby decided around 1 pm to go and get checked, when in the hospital, the contractions started to get more frequent and doc said I was in early labor, but could not keep me nad sent me home 4 hours later to return if contractions got closer together, once  we arrived at home, contractions become closer we waited until they were 5 minutes apart and checked ourselves in th ehospital again but they kep us only for a few ours and sent us back home bc I was only dilated to 1, told me to go to my doc appoitm next day and to take some benadryl to help with the inability to sleep. Well on the night of the 6 I could not sleep at all bc the pain was so bad and lots of pressure. In the morning of the 7 called my doc office early to get  checked bc the pain was really bad, from the office she sent me directly to the hospital, stripped my membraanes and help me dilate to 4 cm, in the hospital thy admtted me and stripped my membranes again, helped me to dialted to 6, the pain was really bad s I got an epidural, then she stripped membranes again and got dilated to 6 cm, and got stuck there bay did not advanced more and his heart rate started to drop to 50, so by 1 am I ended having and emergency c-section. Now baby and I are doing well, he is 8 pounds 1 ounce and 20.5 inches long, looks just like me and we named him James Alejandro. Girls I had quite of a last 48 hours in labor and with lots of big scared but now everything is well and we are so happy, can't believe it.

Hope Anya is well with her baygirl, and you Zuz must be on your way too.

Hi!!  Yay!!  I'm so happy for you!!  And jealous that it happened naturally!  :)  Congratulations on your baby boy!  What a beautiful name!  I'm so glad to hear you are well.  I was getting worried!  

I was hoping my little guy would show up on his own but he is being very stubborn!  Today is my official due date and he's not here yet!  I'm so excited and nervous about tomorrow morning.  I know inducing can be scary! I hope things progress quickly.  I have a lot of praying to do!

Zuz- tons of good luck your way and good prayers are in order. Today my little James Alejandro is going to be 48 hours old at 1:00 am in the morning. By tomorrow you will have yours, don't worry about induction it is just some pitosin given to you through the IV I had it done like I explained before and it was nothing compared to the emergency c-section, you will be fine.

Maria- glad you are doing wel and your son is growing fabolous. I am also breastfeeding but bc my was a c-section, milk its not coming very well, so I had to get the hospital pump and do additional pumping to help increase milk production. I had also to gib=ve James a little bit of formula about 15 mltwice today by hospital instructions bc he migh not be getting enough nutrition. Bc the c section I have to be here in the hospital until staurday 3-4 days after delivery but so far I am moving around better and the incision is not hurting much anymore.

Anya- hope all is well with you.
