Gabapentin and pregnancy

Hi--

I have been undergoing treatment for a degenerated disk for two years. I had a micro-discectomy in November, and a resulting scar tissue problem in the area has caused recurrent nerve pain that shoots down through my leg. I have been seeing a pain management doctor as well as a accupuncturist and massage therapist. I had been prescribed Gabapentin 2 pills 3x a day, tramadol 1-2 pills 2-4x a day, and Zanaflex as needed. That is what I was taking until I found out that I am pregnent (about 5 weeks). I've halved the gabapentin dosage stopped taking the tramadol, and am taking about 1/2 a zanaflex a day. I'm really worried about what kind of effects this medication can have on the baby, especially now that I've read several people's comments that they were told to take tramadol and vicodin. I'm worried that I may have chosen the wrong meds to stick with, and I'm worried about my ability to comepletely ween myself off the gabapentin without horrible pain problems. I can't get in to see my doctor for another 2 weeks. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
