Okay, I've gained about ten pounds already since I've gotten pregnant. I'm just hungry all of the time...does anyone know what to do about this, to maybe not feel so hungry....it's getting frightening!!! Someone I don't even know that well mentioned to me that I've gained some weight.
I just tested positive a few days ago & I understand your concerns. I have an insatiable appetite... and sometimes I worry because I have no real morning sickness yet (though my stomach has felt "off" every day for about a week now) and when everyone's talking about not being able to keep anything down, I keep eating!! I don't have any real cravings, but I am hungry a LOT. I think I might have put on some weight, but I am also really bloated which makes me feel heavier. I am also really anxious, and I tend to eat a lot when I'm nervous/anxious. What works best for me is eating lots of HEALTHY snacks... veggies, all-natural granola bars, cereal, fruit, almonds...I put them into ziplok bags to limit my portion sizes. Just make sure you're eating high quality foods and listen to your body. It knows what it needs! :)

But yeah, I have gained like 7 lbs since I've found out, I started out at 95lbs and I now weigh 102 maybe more then that, I found out i was pg in dec. and its only jan!! My fist I gained a lot too but that was mianly water retention...Plus I had pre-eclampsia I duno if that had anything to do with it or not.
That's kind of what happens to me...if I don't eat and have something in my stomach all of the time, then i start feeling really sick....I don't want to be a huge fattie!!!!! I want to have that cute baby belly and thin everything else.
Well I would rather be gaining weight right now!! I am four weeks and at the same weight I was before I was pregnant!! I eat fattening foods to, but i usually snack on the healthy stuff, just stick to lots of fruits and veggies
Just remember ladies, it can all come off after we have the babies. It just may be a bit harder and take longer for some of us, but one way or another we will all be okay after the babies are born.

sweety you may not gain anything until after the 3rd month. On average a lot of womenWomen's way dont start gaining until about then, so dont stress.
As for the rest of us...could be water retension, could just be us keeping food in our tummies to keep from getting sick...but either way, we can monitor it, and during our 2nd trimesters we can be more careful about what we are eating. Its easier to eat less when there is more weight and less room for our stomachs to expand. :)
I underestand it is after the 3rd month but depending on the way you countit i just got done with my fourth month and starting on my fifth!!!! I'mleaving to go to the OB and geet weighed righnow, I prolly wont be back for an hour or so, i have to get monitored every coupl eof days because I'mnot gianing weight and I'm gooin into the fifth month
Oh, that definitely makes a difference. Lol!!! A girl here at work had the same problem with her pregancy. She stopped gaining weight and the baby stopped growing then right at the end they both started gaining and growing again.
After i found out i was pregnant i had the same issue with eating. I didn't have morning sickness and i ate all day. I start to call it hunger attacks because i had to eat every 3 hours are i fell faint. It was scary for me so i carried food in my purse and kept food in my desk at work so that i would have something when the attack hit. This problem cause me to gain 20 pounds by the time i was 5 months but the good news is I'm 6 months now and the hunger finally stop so i can actually eat 3 times a day and fell great and hopefully wont gain much more weight.
I started eating more healthy today...I decided that enough is enough so I bought a bunch of fruits and veggies and salad, so I'm all set. My mom died really young of a heart attack because she didn't take care of herself, and I miss her sooo much, I don't want my kids to go through that (sorry-hormones are making me emotional again)
Well I just got back from the doctors ladies and i lost another pound so now I go to the doctors every 3 or 4 days and get weighed in and they are sooo mad at me because they think i am starving myself and my husband even tells them I'm not, I'm trying to eat more protein and carbs to gain weight but still eat healthy at the same time and it isn't working, i just keep loosing no matter what I do and it is frustrating, but my belly is getting BIG! Thats why I get confused because my belly is growing but i'm loosing weight but it's probably because I still exercise because I'm in the military and after you haave the baby you have 6 months to be in weight standards or you get in trouble, so it's not like I can afford to gain 80 lbs but I would feel much better if i at least ained 20 or so! This is so frustrating!!!
Well they just took a heartbeat but i don't have another ultrasound for another 4 weeks, because they are sooo busy, but they didn't say the baby wasn't, but then again I haven't had an ultrasound since I was 6 or 7 weeks...and I'm now over 16...so i'v enever even seen my baby, because they didn't show us the ultrasound..but in four weeks I will!!! But i'm sure the baby is fine, they found a heart beat right away with the doppler, and then after that they diddn't say anything else
I do tooo hunny, It's bad ecspecially since I walk up four flights of stairs to work everyday, and then down for lunchand then back up and then down when i leave, and there is no elevator!!! Maybe thats why I am loosing weight!!lol, but by the end of the day I just pass out I'm sooo tired.. and to be honest, I wouldn't exercise, but it's mandatory to at least go to the gym 3 times a week until 28 weeks, or you can get a note from your docotot, but the other pregnant women do it, so i don't want to look like a complainer, so i just stick it put, i usually just hop on the bike for about 45 minutes, and then go home and sleep until work...lol
