Gestational Sac & Baby

by ccw59, Mar 28, 2008 07:24PM
i went for an ultrasound Thursday...(3/27)  last Thrusday (3/20) they saw only the gestational sac that measured 5w5d.  This past Thur (3/27) the gestational sac measured 6w5d & we finally saw the fetal pole w/ heartbeat (we couldn't hear it but the doppler picked up movement) the baby measured 5w5d.  Is this normal? My doctor seems to think I am fine but the ultrasound lady said she couldn't really say that it could be good or bad.  I am just so NERVOUS.  I recently had a miscarriage (Nov 26th) so I am just praying everything works out....What do you think?

Thanks

Sounds fine to me. Early ultrasound dating can be off by up to a week. My baby measured like 8 days off when she was supposed to be 8 weeks. At week 12 she was measuring right where she was supposed to.

Thanks for the comment.  I guess I am worrying just because I had a recent miscarriage.  My 1st pregnancy I never worried!
