H1N1 shot

Theres a virus going around my town again, and my doctor talked me into getting the vaccine today at my appointment. Ive heard some bad things about that shot.  Is it really bad for the baby or can it hurt the baby?

really at this point it's just guesswork...there's no way to know after such a short time if the shot is safe or if it's not safe. I chose not to get the shot, BUT if you are at risk for exposure you may want to seriously consider getting it! I had a very low risk of exposure, and I considered the shot too new so I was comfortable not getting it...but I know that if I was in a situation where exposure risk was high I probably would have gotten it!

I actually did the get the shot (i'm Army so they made me) even though I agreed with you and wasn't comfortable with it. I spoke with the Dr. and she told me that there is no worry about the baby from any affects, and it had no affect on me at all.

While I personally chose not to get it, I have known many people, pregnant and not, that have gotten it and have had no ill effects from it as of yet. You need to weigh the risks and benefits and then make a decision that is right for you.

This is the first shot in US hostory that has NOT been studied before giving it to people. Obama put a law that  no one can sue the companies if something goes wrong for that reason. That is the first time in US hostory also! Now there are laws that NO ONE is allowed to study on pregnant woman or children. So who broke the law?????

I would NOT get it at all. No one has to not even military! It goes against our first amendment rights. You can signa  religious waver to not have to get it. THey have forms for every one!!! You do nto have to be a part of any religious group either as you can simple be opposed to it and it be your belief.

It has high levels of thermosil in it which is 46.6% the weight of murcury and more dangerous and deadly. All other comntries stopped the use of thermosil in the late 70's but NOT the US. THey allow no indipendant studies on it ever.

Thermosil and murcury gets absorbed by the body but goes striaght to the cerebral part of the brain. It has been shown in Britain and other countries to casue autism and death and many autoimmune things.

The GV is not looking afater our best interest! They say the next flu will be the Avian flu, how do they know that???? Then they say they will pass a law to mandate all people no matter if they are sick to get all vaccines no matter what a dr or religious beliefs are. That is on the CDC web site and many others.

Please do nto get the shot anyone else!!!

I had to get it too....after finding out I was moving to Manhattan I was like "give it to me!" cause you know that viruses would spread here like fire! I havent had any effects yet, I hope I don't, and I hope my baby is fine too.

heres a little bit of info to help possilby ease your mind!

**this comes from medical studies and professionals I know personally in healthcare**

in feb. the health committe gets together to discuss how many doses of any vaccine they want to put into production for flu season and also discuss any other other vaccines they may be considereing to make in supply. however last year (after the regular flu vaccine was already being processed) in april was the 1st confirmed swine flu. so they had to make h1n1 vaccines after they had made the regular flu batches. h1n1 is not new like some may think, it was around years ago, but has come back. the vaccine is also not 'new' although some adjustments did have to be made due to the mutation of the h1n1 stain itself. all flu(s) are some form of h&n...h1n2 and so on. this year now they will be making the regular and swine flu vaccine all in one due to the increases of the strain. my children have gotten it and experienced no problems. i have known many pregnant women to have gotten it as well w/o problems.

as a matter of fact a few months ago my oldest tested pos. for h1n1 so i did my research thouroghly. i think the biggest thing is people being under-informed or not researching enough and only listening to what they hear or reading one-sided arguments.

it is a personal decision ultimately!

and as for the issue of thimerisol... they offer thimerisol-free vaccines for pregnant and nursing women. My toddler also received the thimerisol-free version. You can look in to that option as well.

I got it last week! And my son got it this past October! This is the Deal with me. So many peoplel have given the shot to their Kids and so many Pregnant wonam have lost their lives for no reason. The H1N1??? Why not. I know that I could not live with my self if something would have happened to my son and i had an Option to get him vaccinated! Same with with me I work in retail so I come across all kind of ppl I would not risk it! Not for my baby and not for my son. My son needs me!
