HCG ? HOW MUCH NEEDS TO SHOW UP ON A BLOOD TEST

How much HCG is supposed to show up on a blood test to show you are pregnant? I am going for a blood test this week and I was just curious. Thanks

More than 10 is considered pregnant, though many doctors won't read it as positive until it is 15-20 or more.

my doctors said anything at 5 or above is concidered pregnant

5 or above is considered PG, but depending on what kind of Beta HCG they are running. Sometimes a qualitative ( positive / negative) you have to be at least 25 to get a positive. A quantitative however tests for hcg level, it is more expensive and take longer to run. So it kinda depends on what your Doc. orders. Good luck!

Thanks! I just got back from getting my blood test done, they did the test where is shows negative/positve when I went on the 2nd of Dec, but I was told that my level was 0 and -2 or something lol I hopeing I find out this week!
