HCG Level

My HCG level on Monday was 648.37, doc says he wants to retest on Thursday or Friday. I thought that number was good... Thoughts?

It's totally normal to have two HCGs done to see if the numbers are going up. My first number was 429 and I was thrilled when I got the results but they asked if I had gone in again - uh - no, why?  They need to make sure the numbers are going up.  I'm sure you'll be fine!

your hcg levels are supposed to double every 48-72 hours, that is why the doctor wants to check.  When i was newly pregnant, my were only 42 on a wed and recheck not even a whole 2 days later and they were 89 which meant they more than doubled and that was good.  Some womens #'s run lower than others and it is perfectly normal.

Thanks! I am going today to get the blood work to check the levels again. Today I am 4 weeks and 6 days. I can't wait to see what the next number is. My insurance requires my bloodwork to be sent off so it usually takes 24 hours to get results. That stinks, but otherwise my insurance is awesome.
