HCG Levels only 10 DPO

by expectant_mom, Jan 13, 2009 12:59PM
As most of you probably already know from the poll I posted, I am only 10 DPO and I have confirmed with a blood test that I am pregnant.  My MD had ordered HCG levels and the levels came back from yesterday and they were 64.7.  Can anyone tell me if this is a good level to begin with?  According to my research I am finding this number to be ok for starting out they just need to double every 48 hours.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

The number sounds fine. The important thing is that it doubles every 48-72 hrs. Congrats. :)

The number has to start somewhere and because there is a wide range of "normal".  What is the important thing is if it goes up like it should.  You can't really tell much with the first number.

mine were only 20 at 12 DPO. yours are impressively high for this early. maybe you ovulated a day or 2 earlier? or maybe it just implanted quickly?

Question, did you have a healthy 9 nine months following your HCG levels?

That number is great for 10 DPO! So many women (myself included) don't even get a positive HPT until 12 or 14 DPO...and they HcG has to be about 50 to 100 to turn a test positive. I was still testing negative at 10 DPO, so I wasn't even to 50 yet! Anyway...sit tight. Your numbers sound great!

i'm only at week 7 :) But all is well- levels rose nicely, saw the HB at 6 weeks 2 days

it's so easy to be anxious, and of course there are no guarantees... but... that is a very strong start. your number must be doubling quickly to be that high that early.

Your levels sound normal to me. I had my first beta on 1/8/09 was 58 and I retested today and they were at 726. So they will rise eventually. I go for my third beta on 1/15. Everyone is different and the ranges are SO BROAD. Don't over stress yourself about it...sounds like is still part of early pregnancy.

Best of luck!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for your comments.  I really hope everything works out for the best.  I am trying SO hard not to worry but at the same time I know what happened in the past so I am just trying to take it one day at a time.  Thanks again.  I will be posting a comment soon about cramping in early pregnancy too.  Thanks for everything again.
