I went into the ER a few days ago because I have been cramping. I found out I was pregnant about a week and half ago. They did a ultra sound on me and said I am 5w2d. They sent me home and said everything was normal and then this morning I got a call saying that I'm going to have a misscarriage because my HCG level was at 16,013. I haven't had any bleeding cramping or anything. I am really freaking out now because I don't know what is going on. When I asked them they couldn't even answer me and are sending me to another clinic now....In my ultra sound there was no fetal
pole or heart beat but they said that it's too early to show any of that. So I'm really confused and scared. I have had a previous misscarriage but my HCG levels were not this high and I was bleeding a lot with cramping through the whole pregnancy. Any help would be appreciated.. and I know for sure I can't be more then 5 weeks because I just had a period last month on the 16th.. Thanks..
Your HCG would have no bearing on you having a MC!!! Your dr is a nut! Everybody's HCG is different! If you are having a mc it is from something else. HAve them test you progesterone levels cuz if they are not high enough you will mc. High levels can sometimes mean twins and you cramp more with twins. You will not always see the other twin sometimes till 8-9 weeks along by ultrasound.
pole and with higher HCG levels that can be a blighted ovum (I think it is sp that way) No baby grows with that. But you can not confirm that without another ultrasound.
If the pregnancy is not that and they say you are having a mc then that is confirmed by repeat HCG levels in 48 hours and 48 hours after that to see what your levels are doing. THey should rise and double every 2-3 days.
rest and bed rest if you can. The dr does not sound very nice or smart and I am glad you are going to another dr! Hopefully everything is fine and next us you see that little baby and flicker of the heartbeat
That doctor was a nut because I'm pregnant with a little girl!!!!! I can't believe they told me to expect bleeding.. totally unprofessional I read some of these things drs say I can't believe it...
