I had my LMP on 8/28/07 it was only 4 days. I took a home pregnancy test on 9/28 and it was positive. Went to Dr. on 10/15/07 only saw a gestationalGestational diabetes Gestational trophoblastic disease sac on U/S. So I had my HCG levels checked, on 10/15 they were 20,000 and Wed 10/17 exactly 48 hours later they were 26,000. The Dr. said he was confused b/c he mentioned a blighted ovum at the time of the U/S or said my dates were off, but when I spoke to him on Wed, he said he was confused b/c my HCG levels were so high but not doubling, but still rising, so he said come back for U/S on Tues 10/23. I have nasuea and I am really tired, but no cramping or spottingVaginal bleeding between periods. What should I think about all of this? This is my 1st pregnancy. I have great hope there will be fetus on Tuesday. Does anyone have any insight on the high HCG levels? Thank you. Katie
HCG levels are supposed to doubleDouble-tussin dm every 24-72 hours and level out at about 8-11 weeks. It sounds like its possible that you are supposed to be around 6 weeks however you could of ovulated later. At six weeks its commonCommon cold to only see a sac and no heartbeatHeart palpitations Ultrasound, normal fetus - heartbeat Ultrasound, ventricular septal defect - heartbeat or fetus. A lot of people don't start seeing anything in there other than the sac until around 7-8 weeks. The higher your levels get the longer it can take for them to doubleDouble-tussin dm as well. Honestly it could go either way however I wouldn't lose hope yet since someone on another board was talking about her levels not doubling every 48 hours and she ended up seeing a hearbeat and a healthy baby on her last ultrasound. Best of luck to you I hope everything works out please keep us informed.
