HCG levels

Last August I had a tubal pregnancy and had to have a tube removed. I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago on Saturday from a home pregnancy test. I started bleeding after finding out so I went into the ER last tuesday. When I went in they told me I was Miscarrying and that my levels were at 20. I went in to see my dr because what they told me just didn't feel right. My dr saw what he thought "might" be a tubal pregnancy. So he sent me over to the hospital for an HCG draw and to have their tech do an ultrasound. She didn't see anything that shouldn't be there. My levels came out to 40 something. So they had doubled in 2 days. Yesterday I went in to see my dr again and he still couldn't see anything in the ultrasound. So they did another HCG test. They came out to 250. They are saying this is going up really slow?? I just want to know what is going on. Is this really slow? I mean from what I could find the HCG should double every other/few days. That being said from closest guess

Thurs-40
Sat-80
Mon- 160
Wed-320
So really it wouldn't be too far off. And I found the HCG chart and it would still put me in the safe range...Any thoughts, ideas?

Your levels look like they're going up just fine. How far along do you think you would be? With the level your hCG is, you won't see anything on an ultrasound.

Levels doubt every 48-72 hours in a normal pregnancy. I agree that yours look fine.

I agree that your levels are good. At 5 1/2 wks I had my first u/s and they saw a sac in the uterus. They wont see anything until you are that far along. Good luck!

Just so it's not confused the Sat. Mond. Wed. is just guesses of what it would be if it doubled every day. The only ones I am sure of is tues, thursday and then yesterdays which was 250. I thought they sound fine too. I thought that I was 6 weeks but that was give or take since I wasn't sure on my LMP. I just knew I was late when i tested.Thank you all for replying. I appreciate it!
