HCG levels

I had my blood drawn to test for pregnancy and my hcg levels came back at 34. They re-tested 3 days later and they came back at 121. They have confirmed that I am pregnant, but they did not give me an approximate due date. I go back to the doctor next week...but I am dying to know approximately how far along I am. Any ideas out there????

i would say pritty early when was your last period

my last period was nov 3. it lasted right at a week.

well a quick way of getting a date is add 9 months and one week to that

yeah, i did some google searches and it says august 9 for a due date, and that I would be 6 weeks along. but if I were 6 weeks along, I would think the HCG levels would be higher. I'm thinking I might have conceived really late or something. I am anxious to get back to the dr :)

i guess they are going to draw blood again on tuesday. after that we should probably be able to guestimate the due date a little better???

You can't tell how far along you are based on your HCG levels because they can vary so greatly. You need to know when you ovulated or when your period was due in order to get a good idea of when you're due.

Your doctor will probably do an ultrasound in order to determine how far along you are. You're probably brand-spanking-new pregnant. Probably around four weeks.

Oh, I just realized you posted your LMP. Anyway, you're probably due the end of July.

yeah, i figured the hcg levels didn't tell much about how far along we are. BUT...was kinda holding out hope that it might give some sort of clue :)

i'll wait patiently for the ultrasound LOL

Your doc well go by the LMP if it was nov3rd You would be 6weeks today. with a due date of aug.10th ish......But your u/s should tell you for sure......Good Luck....

I have my hcg bloodwork with me now and it shows the average hcg levels at each week of pregnancy.  According to the levels at 5th week it is expected 25- 7340 and by the six week 1080-56500 if all is well.  So I figure you will be between 5-6 weeks at present.
