HELP PLEASE!!!!

by rachie204, Sep 05, 2008 10:02PM
Okay at about 6 weeks I had some pain on both sides of my vagina...basically felt very sore almost like if i had been punched in that area the day before.  Saw my doctor and he said all looked fine,  it has continued on and off for the rest of my pregnancy, days I am on my feet alot it is much worse, but has today gotten literally almost unberable.  Tonight after a busy day I can barley walk....literally.  Hubby looked at it and said it is VERY swollen.   Basically swollen open.  What is this and should I be worried?  I have also had some little cramps today but nothing bad and Emma is moving fine.   (I'm 23 weeks)

It does become swollen down there but..... I don't remember experiencing pain like you are? Maybe you should call tomorrow, especially if it hasn't relieved itself. Probably stay off your feet with your feet up. And, as you already know (but I just have to say it) drink more water than you've been drinking. If you're getting the recommended amount, add 1-2 more cups a day! That helps the swelling go down.

I have what they call vulvar veriscositie (sp?)  I have been very swollen down there since the begining.  It could be vericose veins that swell and can cause some pain.  For me if I am on feel doing alot it swells more and does become painful to walk.  I bought what is called a V2 supporter.  It has helped a ton.  I find if I don't wear it, especially if I am going to be on my feet the pain is much worse.  You may want to ask your dr if that could be the case for you. It is common in pregnancy.  I asked my dr this week, will it affect delivery and she said it shouldn't.  I hope this helped.  Also, I had to purchase the V2 supporter online, it is around $50.  The best 50 i have ever spent.  It looks kinda like a jock strap.......lol, but is a life saver.
