hey there ladies... not sure what is so happy about a monday but it's here...lol

week 28 and baby moving constantly.....getting closer and at least i am getting more excited.. well kids are getting excited too so i guess that is good.

hope you all have a beautiful day...it is cold here it the very northern part of michigan, but it is sunshining so i guess that counts for something...lol

Maria- hungry is what it seems I do the most these days. I just had breakfast and thinking about eating again.

Joyce- so is it still cool in your area. Here we had a great and warm weekened and today we suppose to be around 60 degrees, yipeee.

Hi Girls,

It is a very nice day today, temperature is going to hit double digital at where I live. Finally, it is time to say goodbye to the winter. I am so excited that I can walk by the lake showing my belly. LOL. So summer is not far away. Looking forward to have my babies in my arms by the end of June..

Eternidad, Thanks for your words. To have twins it is very costy and also I need extra helps. Unfortunately my family is not here, but my busband family is around. I am trying to get my mom here in early June, hopefully, she can get the visa to come. I want her to be here so badly. I will pray for this.

I'm at 25 weeks with a boy!!!

Maria - I hope you're right and my placenta does move up. I go next week and find out. Then I have my glucose test the week after. I'll be 27 weeks then. I haven't had heart burn but I think I have acid reflux. Tums seem to help with that.

Anya - I get pains too. I agree with eternidad and think it's just round ligament pain. It just get's uncomfortable at times when I'm on my feet too long. Do you get achy if you stand or walk too long?

Dreamgirl - My OB said that most low lying placenta's fix themselves. When do you go again to get it checked?

Eternidad - YES, that is the pain i get!!! Are you positive its the round l pain? I was sooo concerned on the weekend cuz it would make me so uncomfy..I also went for a walk with my mom and got the pinchy feeling on my right side ovary that wouldn't go away for an hour or so... I really hope its just that round lig. pain so that I can stop worrying. In any event, I have a doc's appt. tomorrow, so I am excited...( not looking forward the check the cervix part but as long as everything is good...)

Maria- Yes, I began 24 weeks..I guess my first milestone ends next Sunday when I turn 25 weeks...but then my next milestone is 28 weeks cuz that's when we turn into the third trimester and have our glucose test !!! HAHA, I am soooo hungry all the time, especially when I wake up in the morning...my nights are crazy, I wake up every few hours, very hungry and my baby is active at night :) I love it!!! I love her kicking around!!

Joyce, have you decorated your nursery? Where did you buy a crib and bedding? I looked around and there are so many choices, its crazy!!!

skipili - I cannot stand and wash dishes at all anymore, I start having pains all over my body..but this crampy feeling I had for the last 3 days, it was a concern because before I didn't have it for weeks!! Plus even though it looks like I am gaining weight, I can see that my belly isn't getting much bigger...I hope it will soon!!

Anya- you will see is just round ligament pain, I do get these cramps on and off and sometimes they feel pretty bad and worries me too, but as long everything goes well and bay keeps moving and growing there is not much to do. Try to keep yourself well hydrated, I try to drink more water now that I am pregnant, they say we need it more.

Skipili, I will have my u/s this Thursday, but my OB is on holiday so I won't know anything about the placenta until April. 1st. Hopefully, the u/s will show it is already moved up.

anya.... i found my crib at a local consignment shop and the bedding on ebay. since the nursery is actually my room... not a whole lot i can do to decorate... plus i am renting so no painting or anything for me.

yeah it is still real cool up here... i think it might have hit 40 the last couple of days....and i just got back from taking the now EX to the bus station so i get to go through all of the rest of the pregnancy alone...but stress free. i hope all goes well and that i can figure out who will be driving me and such. anyhow i still have awhile so i will figure it out.

Hi Everyone!  I'm so so sorry I haven't been on for a little while!  I hope you are all doing great!

Maria!  Tomorrow is our 24 week mark!  Woo hoo!  I'm glad your u/s went well and you placenta has moved up.  Have you been feeling baby lately.  I was told that my placenta is up front and I might not feel baby as much as I would if it was behind, but I feel him/her a lot! I think I got a little gymnist in there!  :)  Oh and by the way, I feel like an eating machine lately.  I think I've gone over my one pound a week this past week!

Anya! Congrats on this milestone!  Don't worry about cramping.  It's perfectly normal.  I'm (almost) used to it by now.  And think about this, most of our stretching is going to be happening in the next 3 months, right??  Ahh!

Eternidad!  Hello!  How are you feeling?  How is your nursery coming along?  I've been looking at furniture and have narrowed it down to two brands that I'm loving.  One is the Bona-Vita Heritage collection and the other is Bratt Decor Chelsea.  I love the second one but I'm thinking it might be girlie and I need something that is gender neutral since we don't know what baby is!  I still have a lot of searching to do.  I'm going shopping with my sister the Sat after I get back from FL.  I'm leaving on Thurs.  Can't wait

Dreamgirl! I'm sure it's been so exciting getting ready for your babies!  I'm excited for you!  I'll say a prayer that your mom is able to come soon.  Its good that your husbands family is around but its a million times better when your own family is around.  I know I'd be lost without my mom and sister.  So I'll light my special candle for you and pray that she'll be here when her grandchildren make their debut!

Joyce, so nice to hear that everything is going well with baby!  How old are your other children?  It'll be cool to have their help when baby arrives!

Anyway, gotta get back to work.  I'm working from home, so thats nice.  :)  I have my doctors appt with ultrasound and fetal firbrenectin test today.  Please say a prayer that all is going well.  Hubby cleared his schedule to go with me since he knew how nervous I am!  Wish me luck!  Hugs to you all!

Zuz- sending your way tons of good luck for your doc appoitment, pretty sure everything is going to turn out well.

Joyce- sorry about your bf, sometimes is better being alone than with someone that does not deserve our love right?

Anya- if the cramps continue call your OB, sure they will be glad to explain and look at things, but I am sure is nothing just growing pains.

I just got back from doc appoitm everything is well, we read about my 20 weks u/s and everything is normal. Doc just want to keep a close eye on the fact I am measuring bigger than my gestational age, any thoughts about this girls?

dreamgirl - So do you have to wait until April 1st for your OB to tell you the results of your u/s? Maybe you can ask the tech. Hopefully they will be able to tell if your placenta has moved so you won't have to wait. I know I hate to wait. I feel like I'm not in control when I'm not informed.

ZUZ - It's nice that your DH is going to your appointment with you. What is a fetal firbrenection test? Everything will be fine I'm sure. You will definitely be in my thoughts today. Have a great time on your trip. The weather down here has been pretty nice.

joyce - I can't paint either since i'm renting too. I wish I could but I don't want to have to paint it back when I leave. So I will have a spare bedroom/nursury.

anya - My belly hurts more towards the end of the day. I just try and relax when it starts to hurt. We will be ok. Just lots of stretching going on in there. I noticed that when my stomache hurt more that it ended up looking bigger. Does that make any sense? Like it would hurt a lot then look bigger by the end of the week. Like it's stretching because the baby needs more room.

eternidad...yes sometimes i do think it is better to be alone than to deal with a man who is not the best influence on my other kids or myself.

my kids are 6,12 and 14... am hoping that all goes well and they can bond with her pretty quickly.

i am not real worried about painting vs. not painting... i can always tack up pictures or wall hanging to make it pretty for her.

i am hoping that i can get everything set as far as KNOWING who is doing what and when, where, ect... but i still have some time THANK GOD...lol

glad to see everything is going well with everyone... another week before my next appt.. and the stress factors are still pretty high, but hopefully they will settle down as soon as everyone adjusts...lol

To: Update from my OB appt

Hello girls!
Thanks for all nice words.. When I mentioned cramping to my doc she didn't say it was the round pain but did a cervix check up exam (nice and closed! Fewwwh) and also did another swab test. She said that this test can predict the chances of the cervix opening up in the next 2 weeks ( Zuz, I believe you will be having the samehting done before your trip?) ..anyway, I hope it won't have any chances and I can happily continue with my pregnancy.
She measured my uterus and said exactly 24!!! So I am right on target :) Also, my baby's heartbeat is 141 bpm (is it too low?) , and it is consistent with 4 weeks ago..
Hm, what else? I have a glucose test in another 4 weeks...and I am planning on taking that road trip afer the test and OB appt. I hope that everything will be good and safe.

Girls, I am planning on starting a new thread, and I want to call it "24 weeks and up".
Is everyone going to be 24 weeks this week at some point? Or should I wait another week?

Thanks for the milestone, it will end this sunday though when I turn 25 weeks ;)

Anya- Nice to hear that your appointment went well. My OB did not do any swab test or mentioned about it. Should I ask for it? About starting a new thread you should wait for couple of weeks so that everyone is on target.

Eternidad- How many days ahead is your baby's growth. My doctor said if its a few days ahead or few days less that is alright. Don't stress too much about it. If they are monitoring closely its good. I feel they have to check on the baby's growth because they might be worried that if the baby gets too big, its the delivery part. When do you go for glucose test?

Zuz- Yes its the beginning of 24 weeks tomorrow... As Anya said once we are in 25 weeks that marks our first mile stone. How did you appointment go today? I too want to go on a trip, but I am very hesitant. I don't want to stress too much. :)

Joyce-Wow! This is your fourth pregnancy...!!! As Eternidad said, its better be alone than in a bad relationship. But you should make arrangements for the coming days. You need someone to be there to take you to hospital or do some chores when you cant do it yourself. I am not going to paint the baby's room. In fact I am planning not to buy anything until the baby is born except for necessary things.

Dreamgirl- When you go for your ultrasound, ask your tech about the placenta. My tech told me right there and also doctor told me later on. Its peace of mind, so you don't have to worry too much. Did you already apply for your mother's visa? If not you should do it soon. My parents and my in-laws don't live in the US. My parents have visa and they will be coming here end of next month. I want to spend time with them and get pampered by my mother before the baby arrives. Its nothing like your mother being there for your delivery.

Skipili-I am sure everything will be fine with your placenta. Do you have an ultrasound anytime soon?

Hi! Just got back a bit ago. My appt was fine, thank God! My cervix is still measuring in the 30-40mm range, which is perfectly NORMAL for where we're at. My doctor was not able to perform the Fetal Fibrenectin Test today because they accidently did a vaginal u/s before the test and that could have given us a false positive. He told me that he isn't concerned that much anymore because my cervical thickness has been pretty consistant. So I'll have the test done next Thurs. BTW, Fetal Fibrenectin is some kind of baby protien that acts as a glue to keep everything tight and closed up for baby. They do the test to make sure that it isn't leaking out in the vagina. It 99.2% accurate when negative (which means you will not be delivering baby in the next two weeks) but is only 16% accurate if its positive (which would mean you could deliver in the next two weeks). He says, he really thinks it'll be negative with the way I've been going. I'm so relieved to hear that. I was getting really worried!

Anya, yes, sounds like the same test.  The doctor told me that he rarely sees that come back positive so thats a GOOD thing!

Skipili, I can't wait to leave!  Even though our weather is just beautiful here in MI right now.  I mean, I know we're going to get another giant dumpng of snow sometime in the near future (otherwise it just wouldn't be MI) but so far its awesome. :)

Zuz- Yes, that's the test I had done today. Even though my cervix is closed and all, my doc said it wouldn't hurt to have this test done just to make sure...don't worry though, if your cervix is closed, you have nothing to worry about :)

I can't wait to go on a trip myself, and I am very hesitant because if I go, I will be 29-30 weeks...I asked doc about extended hours driving, she said its alright as long as I get up often and don't get swollen..scary , so we are still thinking..
I will have my glucose test done in 4 weeks, i will be 28 weeks..that's my next milestone :)
I still don't think I am nearly big as i want to be but since the uterus measures properly...

You are all so lucky to have so many u/s!! I won't get any u/s anymore..so I don't know the size and weight of my baby :(

Anya-Its nice that some doctors are so cautious. Its different procedure everywhere. About your trip, its good. You can travel until 7 months, that's what my doctor said. I have heard of women traveling even at 8 months. :)

Zuz- I am glad that everything went well at your doctors appointment. They say 30-40mm is normal. So you are fine. We might go for a short weekend getaway. May be during Easter weekend.

Joyce- Everything happens for a reason. I know its difficult for you at this time to be alone. We are all here for you when you need to talk.

Maria... thanks for the note of confidence... i know i will be fine, but it still hurts a little. i sent him a email because of some phone calls that he has to make... cancelling directv and such.. and when he messaged me back he was sooo mean. so i know that it was for the best. i dont think he really cared as much as he claimed he did... he just was trying to keep in a situation where someone was supporting him(financially).
i know it will be easier as the days go by... i feel better every day. and i called around yesterday to find out what the hospital procedures are to keep unwanted people OUT of the maternity ward. JUST IN CASE ... and regardless of where i go... the hospital i am scheduling my csection at OR the closer hospital in case i go into labor on my own and cant get to my hospital... they both have really great security measures for the maternity wing... so i am ok with that.
anyhow i am feeling this lil one moving all the time although last few days have been a little slow.. probably due to LACK of stress, she is probably just trying to calm down...lol
it's funny how my 6 yr old will sit and whisper secrets to the baby through my belly... but HE rarely would feel for baby kicks and would NEVER talk to baby... it is crazy. anyhow it doesnt matter anymore...lol
am i scared of doing this once again by myself... oh YES... but am i confident that i can do this... H E L L YES...lol
my kids and i have ALWAYS been happier alone than we were when i was WITH anyone... so i know it will be ok... lol

Anya- glad you got yourself checked is better to be safe at all times. My appoitment went well, and doc says pain my pain is normal and is r/t to round ligament go figure, she is not worry about cervix or placent bc everything looked good on u/s. I remembered one of the things the tech checked was to push down on my belly to see if the cervix opened and it did not, so I guess is a good thing.

Joyce- sorry you have to go through these tough times, but hopefullky things will start to look up for you guys.

Maria- she did not mention numbers, she just say I am measuring bigger than my gestational age. I guess it could mean my baby might be a little bit bigger at delivering time. I am not totally worried just have to wait and see. So far everything looks well, just sometimes I WISH MY BELLY WILL NOT BE THIS BIG, people can be a little bit annoying about it, telling me that my baby is gonna come out sooner than I think but hey is life and I will have just positive thoughts about this pregnancy and think everything will come out right, it took as to long to be here.

Eternidad- You are welcome. We all know how hard it was for us to get where we are today. You don't have to explain to anyone. Just ignore what people say. Just because your belly is big doesn't mean that you will deliver soon. Baby will come out only wen its ready. We didn't ask their opinion. God will take care of everything. :) Take care.

Hello ladies,
Everybody seems to be doing great!
Eternidad and Maria, I am going to have a small trip for many hours in a car driving to miami when I will be 28-29 weeks, do you think it is safe?

Im not buying any maternity clothes anymore, I am still not quiet as big ( I would say the same as before on that picture)...I will wait another month-2 to get something else, if I need to.
I am doing extensive research on what to buy in May-June, like cribs and so forth...its fun but I wish I didn't have school and work, that way I can spend more time on that...
I still have horrible low back pains, sleeping problems and crampy feeling here and there...not even mentioning BH, that I get few times a day :(
My first milestone is almost over, another 3 days!
Girls, welcome to 24 weeks! Time flies by, can't wait to be 28 weeks and have that test done...

Anya- Traveling up to 7 months is safe. It depends on your comfort. You should take breaks while driving and stretch your legs and walk few steps. How many hours is the car journey? You need to go to the bathroom quite often. One suggestion I got if I had to drive for longer period of time, is to carry a yogurt container in case you have to pee and there is no restroom available and specially clean restrooms. I haven't tried yet, but that's a good back up. Keep yourself hydrated.

My first mile stone ends on Wednesday and then look forward for 28 weeks. I just bought few maternity outfits. About shopping for the baby, I will do it when I feel comfortable.

Dont worry about not getting bigger. You are small built and baby is growing fine. My friend is small..petite. I was surprised that she delivered a 8 pound girl.:). So don't worry, we want to have a healthy baby and not fat baby..:). I guess your lower back pain might be due to you sitting longer period of time. Raise your leg while you sit. Get a foot rest at work. I am not sure of cramping, but I get slight pain in my lower abdomen once in a while. If you feel something is not right don't hesitate to call your doctor.

Anya- I think that traveling will be fine, everything depends on your cofort level, and also taking quite a few rest stops. You will do fine.
Don't worry about not getting bigger, sometimes is better, as long everything is well. Everyone's is built different. I am also a pettite women but it happens my belly has been getting quite big and it feels a wee bit uncomfortable at times. Guess we women can never stop worrying. You bc your belly is not too big, me bc mine is bigger enough.
I think is nice your belly is growing at a good pace and as long you are not gaining much weight it fine.
Like Maria say you don't want a fat baby. About the cramping go back and call the docs, pretty sure they will be happy to reassure you and run test if need it.
The fact you are having troubles sleeping is r/t belly growing and your body adjusting to the changes, about 4 weeks ago I was so uncomfortable but now I can sleep better my body is kind of adjusting.

I will go for my glucose test in 4 more weeks.

does Carolanne Rose go with the other names or do you think just Carol Ann would be a better choice?

Carol is for my mom who was Carolyn(died Sept 04) and Ann is MY middle name....lol

Eternidad- You are so right. We never stop worrying. If one ends another starts. By the way are you getting any kind creamish discharge from down there? Its not much, but its there. I looked up on the internet and some places say its normal. I should call and ask my doctor.

Maria- I definitly been having withis discharge, first was mor clear now is getting a little bit thicker (TMI) but doc say is o. and as long as is white is fine if yellow than to worry and call her bc might be some infection.

Joyce- I think all your kids names are so beautiful and they all go together well. Nice of you to name your little one after your mom. You are such a fine lday.

Hello girls,
I think I should start a new thread next week? Its getting quiet long ...
Like Maria and Eternidad, I get the discharge, TMI, it is more clear than creamish but it is good, that's what suppose to happen (protecting us from infection!)...Nurse just called and said that my test on delivering in the next 2 weeks came back NEGATIVe, so I am pretty happy since my BH got a little stronger...
How about you Eternidad? They don't take my breath away but I can feel the uterus tightening...
Also my baby is very active in the evening, night and morning, what about you?
She is still kicking VERY low but sometimes moves up to belly button :)

I will wait to see my doc at 28 weeks, have a glucose test done and then go on a little trip...I just want to get away to a hot weather :)

thanks for the comments on the name... that is just what i am thinking about but will probably change my mind a dozen times in the next couple of months... doesnt seem like it is that close already, but it is. as for my situation, i am feeling better about it... i guess i am just upset at myself that i made one more bad decision in my love life. it just burns me. kids are adjusting, and we are trying to go from day to day but they have had a couple of REALLY bad days (today and yesterday) and i am hoping the good days come along very soon. i have a full week coming up. appointments nearly every day... and next friday i have to take a trip downstate to Saginaw to drop my son off with his grandmother to go to North Carolina for Spring Break. i HATE vacations..ugh!!!!!

anyhow sounds like everyone is doing good, i am so glad to hear it. please keep us posted if anything comes up. oh btw Wednesday i have my doc appt... every 2 weeks now.. so that is exciting, makes the days go by fast...lmao

Joyce- hopefully life will be better and things will start turning around for you and your sweet little one. I think we have all made bad decisions at certain points in our life, what it counts is not the fall but the getting up, and you sound like a very strong capable women. So whatever comes along you are going to bebable to rise to the occasion and find ways around it. Besides you have your kids, and the right partner will come along for you.
Treat yourself to something, an icecram, or a massage or do someting with girlfriends to bring your spirit up.

Hello girls!
Hope you all had a nice weekend. I still get pelvic bone pain on the right side. This becomes more when I go to bed. Also if I exert myself much or stand for a long time, my right side of the bottom starts paining and the pain travels down my thighs. I mentioned this to my on and he said it is the sciatic nerve. Is anyone having same symptoms?

Anya- good to hear that everything is fine. I guess the white discharge is common then. I too feel the baby very low. I don't understand why it's low when the baby has already reached above the belly button. Today I did not feel much and was stressed out. As I came to lay in bed I could feel some flutters.

Eternidad-So we you are getting the disharge too. I was so hesitant to mention it here as I felt it was TMI. It's good that we can share here. By the way, do you still get the pain around your belly button?

Joyce- We understand what you are going through. You will find a suitable partner one day. We are all here to support you.

Zuz- must be having good time in Florida.

Dreamgirl- how are you doing? Did you apply for your mom's visa?

Hi girls, big hug to all of you. Sorry I didn't post for a little while, and I have been busy working and shopping. I am having very bad lower back pain during my sleep. I woke up every two or three hours to change my position. Put a pillow between legs only helps a little bit.
I am glad to know all of your appointments and checkups are went well. I have not done the cervix checking for "next two week's delivery", should I get tested?
We picked a paper wall for the nursery room, we only will do one wall with the paper wall and paint the rest. The paper wall's color mainly baby blue, and yellow with little bit green. We plan to get the work done in late April or May. So still lots of time to think.
Other than this, we have not bought any furnatures yet and just have been looking around.

Skipi, I did my u/s last Thursday, and the tech. didnot tell me about the status of my placenta, she said she is not suppose to say anything :( so I have to wait until my dr. appoint. I hope it does move up.

Maria, ZUZ,  I am preparing the documents for my mom's visa and I know there is always chance it get turns down,I hope not. I want her to be here so badly. Thank you for keeping me in your prayer.

Eternidad, it will be fun to buy cute maternity cloth for summer. I think I will be huge by then, LOL.  I may only could ware one month and then it will be the time for labor.

Anya, you can take a trip, don't worry about it. Your belly is not that big, so it should be easier for you on the road. Just make sure to walk around every two hours, drink lots of water and eat snacks.

Joce, I am so sorry about what happened between you and your bf. It must be tough for you to go through this now.I think the good thing is you have your children around you which will bring you so much joys and supports. But take care of yourself and your little baby girl.  Is your family around who can help you when you in the hospital?

Eternidad - lucky you not feeling BH anymore...I can say that I definately get few of them every day even though my cervix is really closed and all the tests are good ..

Like Maria, I get the weird pains in my right ovary....yesterday I had the pain all day long and it was stubing...also I get pains sometimes when I pee..

Oh, and the worst..
I had this dream last night where the girl is keep stubbing me on my stomach with a car key and I can't breath...GUESS WHAT?! Apperantly, I was laying on my back and I guess that vessel was cut off!!! So when I woke up and realized that my breathing is horrible, I turned to the side....serioously, I am so scared to sleep on my back and I keep turning to my back and last night it really did happen....Im more concerned now...need to be more careful not to sleep on my back!

Went swimming today, it was great! I feel the baby more in the morning and at night, not so much during the day....another 3 weeks till my appt, can't wait to have that glucose test done!

Hi girls, doing well here.

Maria- the pain around my belly button still here, usually is more pronounce after my 12 hours of work.

Anya- yes no more BH, but at times still get lower pelvic pain right on the middle, hubby and doc say is my pelvic bone making room for baby to lay on it more comfortable.

Dreamgirl- Back pain at night is not much fun, after I work 12 hours my back and belly are killing me, but the next day I feel good. Pillow between legs helps sometimes but others is just in the way.

Hello Girls!!
Hope everyone is doing fine. I am having this pelvic bone pain and its getting bad everyday. Sometimes it gets difficult to walk and worst is when I try to turn over in the bed.
Today morning I had very bad dream..It was my baby and I lost it. It was so crazy ..I woke up and started shaking. I don't understand why would have dream such a bad dream. Its still worrying me.

Eternidad- I too get the pain around my belly button once in a while and also recently my lower abdomen is paining. I guess it must be the ligament pulling.

Maria- did you read my bad dreams? I get them everyday now, its always something..I woke up screaming last night....I think we are just so worried about are little ones right now that it gives us bad dreams...
I advise you not to worry but I know it is hard!

Maria and Anya- I think is normal having bad dreams about the baby, guess is bc they are more real to us in our minds, so we worry about things going wrong.
My pain on the pelvic bone is there too,, if I move in bed gets worse, guess is belly getting bigger and baby moving around too.
